There is nothing to stop anyone new taking the Talk 3 (First 3 Months Free Offer) an then reverting to talk one/two, or going to another supplier.PF.0

That's exactly what I intend to do :-)
Do you think this offer will spill into August as well, just like the free Talk2 for a year promotion went on for around 3 months, if I remember rightly?0 -

I'm also on Talk2 and phoned them up to move me onto Talk3 and they said I'd have to cancel and rejoin, but after holding on the queue whilst the customer services guy was putting through to disconnections, he got fed up and said he'll just switch me over.
However, he also said to me that I would HAVE TO switch over my phone line from BT to TalkTalk and therefore I'd be totally finished with BT and would pay line rental to TalkTalk instead. I never read about this condition anywhere, was he having me on or something??? Can anyone shed any light on this or has anyone been told anything similar???0 -

First of all is TalkTalk3 what you really need or want? Remember you need to be making more than 10 calls each and every day over a year to make it cheaper than using 18866.
Don't allow yourself to be pushed into moving your line rental from BT, this is not usually a good option.0 -

TalkTalk cannot make you take there line rental service if you CPS your calls, you have the freedom of choice. In any case they are not offering the line rental service yet,the launch has been put back to at least August.PF.0 -

So I take it if you move onto Talk3, you DONT have to switch your line to TalkTalk? The guy did say it would take 2 weeks to transfer the line from BT to TalkTalk.
I'll be phoning them tomorrow to cancel it then, if that is the case.0 -

As mentioned by Pricefighter and Edinburghlass (and others), it is not generally recommended to switch your line rental over to another carrier (TalkTalk, OneTel, etc) for loads of reasons as discussed elsewhere in this forum.
See this link for a little more information.0 -

They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").0
