Can anybody confirm this refund is available for `VIRGIN HOLIDAYS` or is it just for `VIRGIN ATLANIC` flights only
Taken from https://www.airpassengerrefund.co.uk/
This includes all purchases by individuals or companies, whether direct from the airline, through a travel agent, as part of a package holiday or from a website.Same old same old since 20080 -

So what are you saying? That I should let them get away with overcharging me and not ask for my money back which they took from me unlawfully?0 -
I read in 1 of today's papers that the site is meant to be up and running from 7am Monday morning.
Not sure how they are going to do this, because it will be for when flights were purchased during the dates in question, and not when they were taken? The loyalty accounts will have dates of when the flights were taken and not when they were purchased, is that right?
Like most of you out there, I also don't keep my boarding pass stubs and destroy/delete the flight documentation afterwards, assuming no problems with the flight etc.
Perhaps they will use our passport numbers to check against????
Did anyone ring the number that was advertised? Would like to know what info they will require0 -

I've registered (twice now) as I haven't heard anything. Does anyone know when this will be sorted? The website doesn't appear to have any more information than when I originally registered and didn't they say that it should be sorted within 60 days??? It's been longer than that now! Typical, I bet too many people have registered and they don't want to fork out.HSBC Unsecured Loan current total £11,921, Amazon Credit Card £355 (will be cleared in March 2009)

I believe that the general view was always that this matter would take some time to resolve. It is still going through due legal process in the U.S. and these things tend to take a lot of time. IMHO it's probably not the sort of matter that will be sorted out in a few weeks, more likely many months. There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0

Things seem to be moving along, although slowly. There are now links at both British Airways & Virgin Atlantic websites to the claim site URL.
You can now make a claim online and will be given a reference number.
The next step is a Fairness Hearing to be held on 26 September 2008 in San Francisco to consider whether the Settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate. At the Fairness Hearing, the Court will decide whether to approve the Settlement and the request for the lawyers’ fees and expenses.
There is a full FAQ's section at the claim website:
