Hi all. Hope everyone is ok. My OH bought some self levelling compound today-yes that's great ... only problem is there are no instructions as to how to make it up or anything... and we aren't exactly Mr and Mrs DIY!!!!!!! Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi everyone,

Thanks you for all your messages of support and PM's. I am truly touched by them all.

OH is still very poorly and continnues on life support. They are dialyzing his kidneys and his liver remains inflamed. However, his lungs appear to be much improved and his oxygeon requirements are now back to normal. They have changed his sedation and last night lessened it to see if he could cope on his own with his breathing. I was told that he became agitated and so they deepend his sedation again. Earlier tonigh they have tried again and he appears to be making an effort to breathe on his own and I am waiting to see how this goes on.

I am over the moon about this but have been cautioned that it is still early days but we are a far cry away from Monday when they didn't think he was going to survive until I got there as they were unable to stabalise him.

I am tied here until Monday but friends and family have rallied around and will take the kids after school next week so that I can hop on the train and go and see him.

Thank you guys, I really am touched by your kindness.

    Smoky.

  • Oh smokybabe thank you so much for taking the time to update us. You're never far away in my thoughts, and I am praying for you all. I'm glad that it's forward progress, any little step forward is to be grabbed and thanked for. I just wish that I could help in a practical way, but I'm not near you.

Don't forget to look after yourself, he'll need you at full strength once this nightmare is over.:D

    Huge hugs and kisses,

Me too, look after yourself Smokey.

Pen-Pin keep taking the tablets and hope you enjoy the wedding.

Just back from Friday Quiz, did better than usual - questions must be around our age group for a change.

Exceptionally pleased with myself today, went for a ride out, then a walk, menu del dia, back borrowed bikes managed fine, so will look out in the supermarket tomorrow. Then walked to the quiz (20 mins brisk walk) drank a bottle of red wine (diet out of the window), and back. Leg feeling fine, and after jiving all night last night, really over the moon. Give me a spanish doctor who listens and cares any time.

(((hugs)) to anyone who needs one.
