    Morning Everyone

(((Hugs))) to all who need them especially Smoky.

I had a very rude dream about Gene Hunt from Ashes to Ashes it was great :o. I was quiet upset when the alarm went off.

Plans for today are to find a central heating engineer and plasterers to give us quotes for the work our kitchen.

I also want to do a clean through ready for the weekend. Its is supposed to be clear and bright all weekend so I want to get out into the garden.

I have no idea whats for tea it might be pop luck out of the freezer.

    Have a good day everyone

    Good morning everyone :hello:

scuzz - have your employers never heard of a "work-life balance"?

AussieLass - my grandpa used to called the WI (Women's Institute) the "Wild Indians". To this day, it's still called that in our house.

Actually, one of my friends was going to her first WI meeting last night. She's 27 and was fully expecting to be the youngest by 2 decades there. I'll have to ask her later how she got on. We were both moaning about how difficult it is to get to know new people, but she thought that she'd give the Jam & Jerusalem lifestyle a go. :D

I'm popping down to north London today to see one of my old uni housemates. She had her first baby a month ago, so I'm making the most of half term and going to meet him.

Supper this evening will be spag bol. I've got loads of veggies to put in to bulk it out and an end of a bottle of red wine. Of course, the rest will be put in the freezer, portioned up. ;)

Anyway, I'd better go and get myself sorted to go and see the little chap.

    Morning everyone!

Just debating whether to go to the gym this morning too (bargainrzl), but pile of ironing is looking at me!

Just sent an emal to tesco clubcard deals about this new Merlin annual pass, as there's some confusion on them.

Had ribeye steak and few red wines last nite and fell asleep! (lightweight:o )
woke up in time for Ashes to Ashes though.

The fish tank needs cleaning today its looking abit green!

    Then sort thru some foods/menus.

Stefejb - The kelloggs offer is for free child with accompanying adult, its the packets with the "Zookeeper for a day" offer on the front, the voucher is on the side. Frosties are half price in tescos at the moment 81p!

Enjoy your birthday Webitha! Hope we hear from Smokybabe soon, but hope no news is good news.
So, last day of halfterm. We didn't go away at all but just spent the time relaxing here. Have half sorted the spare-room (may do some more later), have caught up on some of the paperwork, and yesterday I took up hem on DH's new trousers - he's had them for three months but I kept thinking I didn't have time. Actually took me 21 minutes!! (Hangs head in shame!)
After 39 years of marriage we don't normally do anything about Valentine's day, but he thought I needed cheering up and bought me red roses and took me out for a meal! Aren't I the lucky one? Definitely didn't tell him that the price was silly!
Anyway, must get a move on and do something with the washing. Have a good day everyone!

  • Morning all, happy birthday webitha :bdaycake: and massive <<<hugs>>> to smokeybabe.

Dull and cloudy here but I'm happy because I actually have a day at home this week, yay, got the WM churning away already working through the pile of towels and assorted items. Then I'm going to sew, yay, as I did the whistle stop tour through the house on Tuesday with microfibre cloth in hand so that's done for the week :p :rotfl:

Had coffee yesterday with a friend whose daughter has the same kind of illness as my DD, it was nice to compare notes and have a sympathetic ear for once.

Half term here next week so I might get a few late mornings in with any luck although the cat usually has other ideas if her breakfast is not served at 7.30 on the dot.

Have a good day everyone. Hugs to those who need them.
