I lost 4 lbs this week (my first week on SW), but have been really naughty tonight and had a few (large) glasses of red wine :rolleyes:

Hi guys, haven't been around for a while, just keeping up with things here. Back from the MRI today as I have no one to look after the kids for me for a while.

OH had his op on Fri which has been a complete success. Unfortunately he developed a chest infection after, which has triggerd something called acute respiratory distress syndrome. Currently he is very poorly and on life support. His kidneys have stopped working and he is on dialysis. His left lung has collapsed and they are currently working hard to keep him oxygenated.

What to say? we are all devastated. The kids are unaware of how serious this is and we have been told that there is a 35% death rate from this syndrome. I can't still believe that this has happened. We are taking things hour by hour and so far we have hit the 48 hr mark. They had big problems last night keeping him with us but he is currently stable and that is the best that we can hope for at this time. He should have been coming home today.

Sorry guys, I feel so helpless and useless at the moment. I hope you are all OK.

I'm so sorry to hear of your distress. It sounds like you are going through an absolute nightmare. I hope he pulls through and comes home to you soon. <Hugs>. Please let us know, and keep in touch. I know it's late for everyone but we will all keep you in our prayers. Thinking of you. xxxx
