Thanks Pania
Yes our debts will remain the same as what we gave the broker orignally i regularly check our CR and things haven't changed, like you said what i've declared is more than what is on our rating, i declared what was on our creditors list with the CCCS. Do you think everything will be ok?0 -

Teaonshirt, what a lovely thing to say, thank you. It's been tough but i really hope something good comes out of all of this. I know we have a long way to go in being debt free but i really am trying to sort out this mess. Worse thing has been trying to keep it together for the kids, my daughter especially doesn't want to move but i keep trying to be positive telling her how nice we will make the new house, it has a fish pond which can be hers as i had one when i was her age. We decorated her bedroom here last year for her birthday, took us 6 years from when we moved in to get around to it, she was thrilled surprised her on her birthday had kept her room locked up from her before then, now we're taking it away from her. Told her she can do this one anyway she wants too and can help me decorate the rest of the house too as her opinion on colours etc will be greatly appreciated, we can shop together. It will be an upset for us all as we really love this house but the way i see it is that we can't be happy living in a house we can't afford and while being in so much debt and we will be better financially in the new one which will surely make me a better, happier mum. I just hope my mum is looking over me and will cast her magic and make this happen, surely it's about time we had some good luck. My god i hope you'll all out there ready for me if it all goes wrong 'cus i don't know what i will do!0

No worries Sira, everyone will be here for you :T :T
You seem a true powerhouse of a woman - Go Girl Go !!!!
and as upset as your kids may be, they will still love you and make any home they move into their own - I remember moving around loads and always being excited in choosing a new room and where all my bits would go.
Could your kids help design a new garden or interior perhaps? Including them more may help alleviate some of the anxiety about leaving and moving. You must do what's going to be in your health's best interest - if that means selling or just renting - do whatever is going to make you feel better. It's a 1 time life girl so no need to keep a mortgage going if it is going to kill you!
Trust in your own decision making, but take on board all options :j
Will be wishing you every bit of luck X0 -
Just read this thread, I think it's stressful enough waiting for a mortgage offer to be confirmed, let alone with the added stress of the debts being scrutinised.
Hope it all works out for you, I'm sure your kids will be very happy in your new home:D

Hi everyone, thought i would give you an update on the past few weeks for those that are interested. Well to be honest think ive been to hell and back, it's been a very stressful few weeks going through the sale process but worst of all waiting on the mortgage offer - it has taken forever!! Every few days we've been told it's with the lender, you will have an answer the next day, then the next, then the next and so on and never really knowing what was happening or if they would lend us the money. Our buyers, buyers have got so fed up waiting they have given us a deadline of the 27th or they're pulling out! Then to top it all during the high winds and storms one of our biggest trees, about 70ft, fell over in the garden landing on next door and the next door after that, and to make matters worse we're not insured!! Would have been if it fell in our garden but not our neighbours! Luckily they are able to claim of their own insurance and hope to re-claim it back from ours. And then if things couldnt get any worse my daughter broke her wrist!!! So things have been pretty awful and as you can imagine hubby has been as much use as stilettos in quick sand!! But this evening i got the call i've been waiting for and have finally got a mortgage offer, i was so relieved i burst into tears in front of hubby, i wonder if he has finally realised how stressed i've been, doubt it! So it's all systems go hope to move on the 28th but until those contracts are signed dont think i will rest easy. NR are taking us to court on Tuesday for a Charging Order would be great to say no point now 'cus you're getting your money, would the judge grant a CO on a property we've just exchanged on? I've actually been quite unwell for the past week awful cold now cough but think it's purely that ive been so run down & stressed. Hope to be going to stay with friends for easter which will be a lovely break before the move. Anyway thats about it for now, thanks for listening think i will go for a nice hot bath, couple paracetomol and cough syrup and an early night. x0

Oh Sira, I'm so pleased for you ( not about the tree or the wrist:o ) I can imagine the relief.
I went to see a mortgage advisor as we will have to remortgage in September, I also had to do this on my own, but because hubby works at sea, we have nearly £13,000 of debt & didn't realise we could cash in an isa we had with just over £12,000 in it, & this would almost clear it! ( it's taken over a year to clear £7,000) when she told me I burst into tears, she cried too! I'd been crying all morning before I went there too as I was so stressed, so I know completely where you are coming from.
I really hope your hubby appreciates you, you've done so well:TComping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner
