just taken five bags of stuff to charity shop...not a word of thanks...in fact not a word of any kind...just grabbed stuff and shuffled off.... >:(

I would of shuffled off after them ,taken the bag back and gone to another charity shop
that's disgraceful, manners don't cost anything but I'm not surprised there are very few people especially young ones in shops that know how to say please, thank you .

They stand there with their hand out while you pass your cash or card and can even hold a conversation with colleagues the whole time they are serving you and never make eye contact..........................I have once or twice ,when this has occurred held on to the money in the shop assistants hand until they have turned to see why I haven't let go ........................then they tend to pay attention ;D ;D
Maybe it's just cause I've gotten older but I don't have to put up with ignorance and won't ...................I'll shop elsewhere

Never had money when i was growing up, but always had manners, my mum taught me always to be polite to others and to always say please and thank you, something i have hopefully instilled in my 5 kids. But it really upsets me when others dont show me the same curtersy (spelling ?) but i've now taken to loudly proclaiming "YOUR WELCOME" if i receive no thank you just to play on their concience maybe they'll learn maybe not :-/
