  • No-one has mentioned Slimming World. I joined in September and have lost average 2lb per week. It is brilliant because you can eat loads of free food - potatoes, pasta, rice as much as you want. Nothing is forbidden but you would do extremely well if you could cut out bread and alcohol, cakes, biscuits, etc but when you fill up on loads of mash or baked potatoes you've no room anyway. Best of all are the Slimming world chips - absolutely gorgeous! I'm 1.5lbs off my target weight and now can fit into my 16yr old daughter's size 10 jeans!

    I forgot about SW :o
There's actually a group down the road from me. I like the sound of their diet, my downfall seems to be the comfort foods such as mash, baked spuds, pasta etc, so might be a good idea for me to investigate. What are the costs like to join and do you have to do a weekly weigh in type thing?

Edited to add: I like the sound of the trial menu :)
  • My downfall is crisps, i love them. Also does anyone have any lunch ideas, they can either be packed lunch or heated in the microwave.
  • Hello I am 5'3" and weigh in at 11 st 1. I have just joined Slimming World, its great and i am hoping to lose around a stone. My downfall is the evening . i jut eat out of boredom.
  • Hello everyone

I am 5' 7'' weight 11 st 2lb and I need to lose 2 stone 7 lb. I want to be as slim as I was 25 years ago...

Unfortunately I find it hard to motivate myself to exercise and I eat when I am depressed. Hopefully this place will help inspire me.

  • Good luck Irishmummyof2! Let us know how you get on. I was thinking of doing the same but the cost was putting me off as i can't go every week.
  • Well done IrishMummy - it is a danger starting off with someone if they don't stick with it!!

I've had a good day so far, out to the gym this morning and then walked to and from a meeting (about 35 mins brisk walk each way). Totally knackered now though. Dinner might be dangerous - DH is keen to have pizza so I'll need to keep an eye on the cheese. Trying to think of what veg I have in the house to top it off with.

    How's everyone else doing?

    Hi everyone!!!

Not a bad day at all today, been quite good, just need to start some exercise these days.

Have worked out I need to lose 2.5llb per week to lose the weight for my goal date which is the Kylie concert.

I only live a mile from work and drive, so am going to leave the car and walk and stop being a lazy bleep, will also have to start some form of exercise on top but am limited for time, so maybe a home dvd is in order

Is it all women on the weightloss thread? haha
