What are you dieting for or even why do you want to lose weightlisa_martin wrote: »I need motivation, How can I make myself be better at dieting? I am going to be a blimp for life
Who I am is not important. What I do is.0 -
I want to lose weight because I am fat. I am dieting because I am fat

Im sorry but there is your problem. The most powerful part of the mind is the unconcious part but it doesnt do negatives well so if someone says dont think of a cake what do you do? You think of the cake. While you are thinking you dont want to be fat you are actually concentrating your mind on being fat. The more you think about not being fat the worse it gets. You have to concentrate your efforts on something positive eg running in the marathon or cycling with the kids and being able to keep up without suffering a coronary.lisa_martin wrote: »I want to lose weight because I am fat. Hi Lisa,
Sorry to read you are not doing so well.
I am in a contstant struggle with my weight (I have a lot to lose). I also have severe issues with being out of the house alone. This is gradually improving for me though as I have a 8 month old daughter and she loves to go out:D I do struggle though when my partner is at work to go out.
Diet wise I am a comfort eater and unfortunately it takes very little to set me off:rolleyes: In my case it is literally mind over matter,I need to replace the eating with something else. I need to change the bad habits I have taught myself:rotfl:
I was following WeightWatchers but unfortunately it was 1 step forward and 2 steps back for me. It does work, but I just wasn't doing it properly:o I have now gone back to Slimming World where I can take advantage of the 'free foods' to fill up on. I lost a lot of weight back in my early 20's (now 32) with SW but a decade of disaster led me to depression and what I am now.
Anyway I just wanted to say Hi and keep posting!Good Enough Club member number 20 -
I'm sitting here feeling uncomfortably full having overeaten at lunchtime and also had half a pack of yoghurt nuts and raisins this morning....and I can't figure out why. I know I'm feeling uncomfortable because of the excess weight, I can't gain any more or my clothes won't fit me...what the h*ll am I playing at? I even managed to be semi-sensible on holiday and now I'm home I'm losing it.
So obviously no good advice here except to say I feel your pain
Actually no, I do have good advice which is to say get exercise every day. I am going to follow this myself, whatever the weather I am going for a 30 min walk tonight. Want to join me?0 -
I would love to join you! Belfast is a lot way to walk to to walk with you for 30mins.......LOL.
