Have I achieved anything while they've been off school?
Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Level 1
[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas [/strike]
Level 2
[strike]Dusting, even if around everything [/strike][strike]
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
If you have a porch.. clean that out too, or at least declutter it!..[/strike] I vacuumed it!
Level 3
[strike]Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister[/strike][strike]
Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc [/strike]
Tidy shoes, coats and bags ..
Wipe skirtings, doorframes and other paintwork
Extra Mission:
- [strike]Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper. [/strike]
- Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
- Clean a radiator or two.
- [strike]Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!! [/strike]
- HHI.. get that mountain gone!
Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/strike]
Level Two
[strike]Sweep and mop floors[/strike][strike]
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary) [/strike]
Level Three
[strike]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round[/strike][strike]
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
[/strike]Clean out the cupboard full of tins and jars.. Mines vile!
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..[/strike][strike]
Check those washing machine filters and drawers for ickiness!! Tumble dryer, cooker hood and dishwasher filters need to be done too!!
[/strike]Extra Mission
- [Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms
- [strike]Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk![/strike]
- Clean oven if it really needs it.. or just do the hob.. or a knob!
- [strike] 36 fling boogie.. [/strike][strike]
- Empty the bin.. wash it out.. and make it smell SWEET[/strike]
Wednesday walkabout- Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
[strike]Clean floors in these rooms[/strike]
Level Two
Clean baths, [strike]toilets, don't forget under the rim! and sinks[/strike][strike]
[/strike]Clear any clutter from desk
[strike]Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!![/strike][strike]
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc[/strike]
Level Three
Wash your bathroom mats
[strike]Wipe down tiles in bathroom.. [/strike]defragment your pc while doing this.
[strike]Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! [/strike]
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just hide burn it!
Extra mission:
- [strike]Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms [/strike][strike]
- Wipe down the doors and frames in these rooms.
- clean the radiators in these rooms
- Fling all those empty bottles and tubes [/strike]
- HHI... a bit more gone!
Level 1
[strike]Check fire alarms are working[/strike][strike]
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.[/strike]
Level 2
[strike]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..[/strike]
Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
Air the duvet
15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Sort 10 things from your wardrobe (or someone elses)
[strike]Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.[/strike]
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more- [strike]41 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter [/strike][strike]
- Clean all the upstairs doors... and handles[/strike]!
- Clean windows in these rooms
Level One
[strike]Vacuum the floor, even if it's just where you can see[/strike]
[strike]Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself!!!!! [/strike] I'm having my nails done this morning as usual
Level Two
Clear away anything that isn't in it's place, clothes, toys, books etc
Dusting.. all those shelves and flat fluffy surfaces!! Don’t forget the light shade and curtain pole!!!
Strip beds, turn and vacuum mattresses!! and replace with fresh linen .. check if duvets need freshening up too!!
Level Three
Rummage ALL the junk from under the bed and sort through it..
Sort through a cupboard/chest of drawers
[strike]Wipe any sticky marks off walls and doors[/strike][strike]
[/strike]Extra Task List- Wash a set of curtains, nets, duvet or throw
- Wipe the radiators, skirtings and window & door frames!
- End of week fling!! grab a binbag and fill it with stuff to leave the house.. rubbish or charity shop or to donate to a friend!
- Extra 30 minutes ironing.. school uniforms? work clothes?
- Change any bedding you didn't get chance to do over the week!
- Meal plan for the next week and make a shopping list... based on what you found in the freezer and those things that need using from weekly cupboard sweep
- [strike]spend at least an hour with your family... playing, reading or just watching a dvd and having a hug! [/strike]
- Work yourself to level 3 in your messiest room!!
- S&S the kitchen and bathroom!
- Make sure you have everything ready for school/work for next week.. pe kits, socks, homework done etc. It is half term for some next week.
- Fill a binbag of things to get rid of.. charity/bin etc
- 15 minutes hotspots clearing

Well it's our HT this week so flying could go either way, but I'm not giving up Pigpen
