jjef - both messages were blank??? just quoted the first 2 messages between us???
  • Lil_me - we're in well with the Press Officer, we went to her 40th birthday party last year. She's going to put them on a disc and give them to him Sunday when they're shooting together! Handy knowing some people.

I'm glad you've sorted some of the issues with relative. I'm sorry if she does stop you seeing your niece and nephew, but might you be able to sneak a visit at Grandma's house, or does she never leave them on their own there? Ultimately though, it will be her loss, because it would be helpful to her to stay friendly with a potential present giver!!! Keep your chin up because you've done nothing wrong.

    Hi guys

Dusty Happy Belated Birthday wishes for yesterday xx

Pink you must be very proud, lovely photos x

Mudbath woot! great news I'm smiling from ear to ear for you x

Lil_me Never a borrower nor a lender be, those words are forever being spoken by me to someone who's on the borrow lol (and they rarely get)....glad your DH has it sorted it but try not to let it get to you, your sis needs to grow up (no offence) but by folks lending her money she'll never do it! She's also emotionally blackmailing you re: not letting you see her kids, well, so be it! let her have it her way, you never know she may just thank you one day for the tough love approach. (((hugs)))

Got a chinese coming in about an hour Yum! first take-away we've had for months, it's my treat as a celebration of getting all my money sorted (WTC etc) and having my 3rd full week of work woot! Went for the cheaper option for under a tenner though :o:D

Done nothing other than dailies in the house all week but tomorrow's flying day! I'll do the whole house from top to bottom in under 3 hrs then it's all done for another week, also got washing to catch-up on and then maybe a spot of browsing the shops.

Got no where with the kitchen so far apart from finding the table for tea, need to get little one to bed - skipping bath I think and then maybe will do something.

Not in the mood for the auction especially as it is cold - it is in old farm buildings so chilly. Will do kitchen tomorrow and a trip to the big M&S.

Glass of wine anyone? we deserve it cause we are special and lovely!

Mudbath ORF has gone worryingly quiet we need a laugh what is happening it is not on your weekend list.

  • OK - have decided to get my bottom in gear and plan for tomorrow!:D

Change all beds (by 10am so can hang out to dry - fingers crossed)
Cook a spare dinner for freezer
Go for a walk over field with kiddies and DH
Clean the utility room and sort out the mountain of coats and shoes
Pack school bags for monday x3
Fill a binbag of things to get rid of
    15 minutes hotspots clearing
Have long hot bubble bath me time

Also need to locate some new clothes for DS as he has thoughtlessly grown out of most of his old clothes. Although - would rather keep this to a 1 shop hit and run rather than a trawl around town. Could be Tescos or Asda??

At least there's no swimming lessons tomorrow - maybe we can swim for fun on Sunday?

Must be nearly time for a glass of something white and chilled??

    Pink - lovely photos.

Mudbath - good news, I hope you are feeling a lot better now.

Shell - magic knickers, don't take them off, pull them to one side if you can - this is what I used to do when Levis and a body suit was the essential wear in the student union on a Saturday night. Have you ever tried fastening press studs that you can't see when you have had a few.....?

Thanks for the suggestions re the bathroom. DH wants to keep and frame one of the tiles so we remember just how bad it was. The house was converted from a much older building in the 1880s and then re-done in the 1960/70s and not touched again until now. Lovely from the outside but awful inside - I like to describe it as fur coat, no knickers.

For the first time since we moved I have a sparkling sink! The new mf cloths from Aldi are brilliant - Powerforce Professional Cleaning Pads - they took the rust off the sink just using warm water.

Lil me- not great at veg, this is only my second year growing stuff, but I thought you had to wait till the soil was warm enough to plant the carrot seed?

The children are currently in hysterics.. hubby is drilling upstairs and in the kitchen it sounds like rasping bottom burps.. so every time he puts a screw in they are laughing their heads off.. just what is needed I think.

Off topic.. elsewhere in parentland... I have been moaned at for allowing my girls to have 'ice cream therapy' yesterday when they were miserable.. they will apparently associate eating with comfort and become obese... Now.. do I go round and beat said idiots to death with a spade.. or just say so what I'm obese anyway?? lol

That isn't possible with the ones that come to your knees!!!! .. and up to your boobs!!

and I recall the days of bodysuits and levi's.. but I was about 10 lol

I had a maternity bodysuit though when having DD1.. have you ever tried fumbling about to fasten 3 press studs under your faff when you have 7 pillows stuffed up your front and sciatica?? .. I had to take hubby in the loo to do them for me!!
