Lol, operation sparrow can now report that I had a male and female blackbird, a male greenfinch, a robin, and two blue tits (no naughty comments). I'm quite happy with that.

Ok, ok, ok, i'm off to do some tidying!!!

Mudbath - see as soon as you take the scarey squirrel costume off the birds return.

Neighbours kids gone home. They were pleased to go as I told them off for pulling my washing off the line. My living room is all clean and tidy. One little bit to wipe but I needed a cuppa.

    Doubt I'll fly anymore today.
    Tea on next
    Then footie runs
    Then accounts with vice
    Then bed

Really fed up that Tesco are not doing Eurostar anymore, hubbie and I wanted to go to France for free, oh well. Need to ring them about missing points, will do that now whilst I feel cross

Bonsi - result on the scrap (rag and bone man) we sometimes have one come round here, never needed to use him mind.

  • Afternoon all!
DD1 and DS safely collected from sports camp - now tucking in to HM malt loaf (feel like a proper Mum!). Been offered a chance to restart career back in the city earning an interesting salary - but would mean late nights, some weekends and much less holiday than my current term time job. Have had 2 sleepless nights weighing up pros and cons and decided today to stay cash poorer but time rich. DD1 will be sitting entrance exams next year and DD2 starts full time school so need Mum rather than city chick. Have I made the right decision???

Dusty - i've taken the squirrel costume off, I always look like this! Quidsco can vary. If you click on the shop you shopped at it usually tells you if it's fast, slow or whatever. Sometimes they just don't happen though so you do need to keep an eye on it.

Ginger girl - in my opinion you've made the right decision. I'm sure others will disagree but the littlies are only little for so long. Also, if you work long hours you won't be able to come on here and get useful tips off us:rotfl: :D

    Have managed to

dust guest room, put duvet under bottom sheet, S&S guest bathroom and put towels out, put heating on for 2nd floor, hoover 1st floor, hoover 2nd floor, dust our bedroom and DS's, clean ensuite
hoovered all stairs, hoovered downstairs, load of whites in and ironed - love ironing stuff straight off the line.

Thats it for today, I'm pooped, just need to reheat the HM pie from the freezer. DS has eaten for the first time since Sunday, DH has had him running about outside for an hour so must have made him hungry, also took him to B&Q and fetched some play and so he was loving the new sandpit.

    Catch you all later

GG - for ME yes I think you've made the right decision. I'm in a very lucky situation that I don't have to work but things are tight and it takes budgeting and cutting back but I wouldn't change it. I love being with DS, although he can be a monster sometimes - toddlers!, and like Mudbath says their only LO's for a short time. Just my opinion, no offence.
