    My kitchen looks NICE!!! :D

I can't do the poo parlour today as hubby is making MORE mess...

SO... I'll do the front room and the back room and maybe a stint in the childrens rooms.. the girly room and the smelly boy room are both knee deep in sh-rubbish.......

  • mudbath i just PM'd you. That's if you are receiving any - i know you told pigpen it was broken ;)

Lovely lie in here till after 7am. :rotfl: Amazingly long enough to feel a bit refreshed. DS seemed more energetic and happier, so we trundled him off to nursery, then came home and DH made me a bacon butty for breakie. We then started doing a bit of research as DH is being a best man in April and we promised to write a pub style quiz for their evening entertainment, and knowing my luck i will end up in the labour ward, so i persuaded DH to start it while we were thinking about it this morning.

Does an 80s general knowledge round as they both were born in the early 80s sound OK? Then we were thinking of a music round playing songs from e.g. the number 1 when each of them were born, and when they met for the 1st time, and then perhaps a bit on wedding traditions  Any ideas from you worldly people? As i can imagine that i will actually be the one who writes most of it as i can sit and research it while DH is doing the DIY ;) Sounds fair to me.

Then midwife appointment - yet another stand in midwife, but this one was really good and took blood tests and sent off a urine sample, and just listened and was actually taking me seriously. Next appointment now is not for another 6 weeks, which seems crazy, but i will be making an earlier appointment if i am not right. Need to add to list - ring up for test results on monday.

I am now sat here with really bad indigestion, which the usual remedy of a mint has not eased. Might have to have some milk. Can't imagine me doing much actual flying again today, as the back has eased up after a night with a cushion between my knees. (DH asked me if i was trying to tell him something. - although that was after he was nice and asked if i wanted a hot water bottle making.)

I am going to visit my parents this evening so my sis can help with charlie's bathtime so i can take it a bit easier again. Will ring in a minute and check they will be in.

Possibly more school work as well today, and stay off here a bit more so i actually get more done, as the week is just disappearing from me. How is it half gone already?

Anyway, have a lovely day and get some sunshine on your skin, and then maybe we will all feel a bit better.

  • Morning barmpots :D

Pink Fairy - woo hoo, I feel that big hat coming on

Molly George - does your sis rent him out?
Jill - well done girl sport-smiley-001.gifon taking such positive steps to find yourself again. Now print out that brilliant list on post #455 and keep it somewhere you can see it - remember what they say on the airplanes "put your own oxygen mask on first"- if you don't look after yourself, you can't be there for others. Now enjoy that weekend (but make sure all the arrangements/packing etc aren't left to you!)

Jue - I know we're good on here but we're not jelly psychic :D

MOJ2 - sod the house, you need that sleep. If your being upset carries on for much longer sweetie so that it's not a bad case of PMT, then try and get yourself checked out hun - there is help out there and remember you can always offload and virtually scream and have a tantrum on here - ((hugs))

Lurkio - yes, at the mo I think we are all girls on here (so don't take offence if we go off on a "all men r b*****ds" rant - it's not personal) but I think we're more nutcases than girls :D ....anyway you'll be welcome to pull up a :coffee: and join in anyway, and a different perspective is always handy. The main thing that pulls us together is wanting to keep on top of the chores in our [strike]hovels[/strike] beautiful homes. You'll find a list of most of the abbreviations like HHC on post #1

Shell - so good to hear from you after the funeral ((((hugs)))) to you and the family and lets hope that things start going better for you

Sorry I missed that last HHC - i'll be in for one in a bit when I've caught up on the other threads and had some nosebag

    Laters ladies and Lurkio :D

  • absolute A$$.

Nursery just rang. Water supply has been cut off and i need to go and pick up DS. Puts paid to my plans then.

Just negotiated sister picking up a birthday pressie for me from town while she is there in return for me ordering something for her off ebay. I've done that, so another thing skillfully off the list.

  • Afternoon everyone! Have done the food shopping now and have also managed to clear up the hotspot that is the kitchen shelf! (Now have a number of school-related forms to fill in for spoken english exams, cross country running, karate gradings and other varied school trips - still will get brownie points for being first to hand them all in on Monday!!)
Right - lunch for me and DD2 before getting stuff sorted for dinner and hopefully baking some of Black Saturns yummy malt loaf.
Have just had a phone call from principal - now need to meet in school this afternoon - AARRGGH - oh well not much on telly tonight so praps can catch up then!

Well my HHC turned into an hour but I did -
WM - emptied hung outside and reloaded
    DW - put on
    Kitchen -
    clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
sweep floor (it was mopped on sunday so still okay)
wipe and replace all those small appliances
clean cupboard fronts, fronts of appliances and kickboards
    checked WM filter and drawer
wiped down tiles and shined taps
cleaned oven (still looking okay from last week so just got a quick wipe)

I also have leek & potato soup on the hob which will be ready for lunch shortly, just going to tackled the dining room before lunch.
    Back later.

Humph grumble groan looks like I am going to have to get a new dishwasher after all and it's full of dirty/half washed pots

Going to go and take some flowers to DH see if getting out in the sunshine helps my mood.

Whats wrong with your washer AnW'sMum? I was amazed when mine was fixed by the engineer over the phone!

I've been out with DS2 on our bikes. Little one at a party (due home in a minute) he is complaining his leg hurts - he did fall in the park yesterday so need to take a look as he could not cycle it hurt too much and that boy never doesn't want to cycle.

We went to the woods for a cycle and then into town to pick up a birthday pressie for a party for DS2 and a few bits for lunch. I need a bigger basket for my bike so that I can cylce to the shops more often and bring stuff back with me!

Going to have a cuppa, make a couple of phone calls and return some emails. Then living rooms this afternoon with DS3 - 1 and 2 will both be out and he can do his thank you notes/reading aswell!
