We should have been on holiday this week so wouldn't have picked up the e-mail at all. A bit naughty really to do three days notice.

Got all my garden jobs done - DS2 helped reluctantly but he wants pocket money. Measured up where my new kitchen garden will be so I can get it started after half term.

Hex hellebores - were self seeds - a couple produce loads. These are 2 years old. Last years all died either too wet or too dry - more appearing from last years seed heads already.

DS1 washed my car and I have dried it. He is cleaning his golf clubs now! Inside of the car on Wednesday I have told him.

Right need to go and get DS3 back from neighbours house and then all 3 to the chiro

  • Back again!
I ended up going back to bed and slept 'til 1.30 so maybe it wasn't skivey-itis after all. Done an hour and a half in the garden and it's getting there. I managed to get 2 of the 4 curtains on the line - it's glorious but chilly - so I'll just give them all a quick iron over and get them back up. HHC at 4.30 anyone?
Skintscotslass, big hugs to you, I wish I'd had this lot for company when I was signed off for 7 weeks with a wobbler. You're all fabulous!

Just trawling through my wilkos excessive spending, might be some time.................................................................hope you're all well, see you next week or whenever I get them all done!

(making sure I add the postage on and without discounts as that was the amounts which tracked)

(Oh and I will wait until this is all done before I scream at Wilkos about the cushions which I loved but have fell to bits!!!)
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • Hi everyone - hope you are all well :D

ok I am in this week... I need the structure I think! It has been months and tbh I am too easily distracted away - FIL ill and back in hospital, DD1 Birthday, DD2 Birthday, stripped the playroom back to nothing - fixed all the problems and then reclaimed it as the lounge! That really doesn't sound like a lot! why did it take so much time?!

DD2 starts nursery next week (only 2 full days) so I figured that I will need something to [STRIKE]take my mind off it[/STRIKE] give me a challenge ;) and I think the lists and the state of our house should keep me going!

    So far I have:
Meddling Monday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
    Level 1

    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Can't organise porch as that is where I am storing all the bits for charity shop - will take next Monday when both hands will be free!
    Level 3
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags

Also posted parcel, drove to Gretna collected kids from Dad and had lunch - then drove back home again!

My brain is still stuck on Motorway so hopefully a coffee will fix that and I can get going with supper!

Although our lot are on hols this week so anything over level 1 will be a bonus:rotfl:

  • Toria - a 'strawberry' is a strawberry mivvi (sp?), a civvy, a civilian member of staff. A term affectionately used by my police colleagues to describe me. Some people get really offended by the term. I couldnt give a stuff, I'm more bothered about how I'm treated at work. (which is fab by all my police colleagues, except for one or two of my bosses, but I guess that could happen in any organisation)

Thank you all for your kind words. Shall I give you a laugh? I couldnt stop crying at work this morning and then I remembered I had a bottle of stardrops in my desk (I diluted it in a scooshy bottle and use it to clean the fridge in the office). Anyway, I was thinking, I'll just take my stardrops home with me. No point in it being in my office for months. So I'm standing in my office, waiting for my chum to take me home, coat on, handbag over shoulder and stardrops in hand. Chum walked in and looked in horror at me. She thought I was going to drink it! As if!!! No flying today, as all the crying has exhausted me. But after the doctors tomorrow, I'll crack on.

Jill - I think its 20 quid well spent. Go for it! You are sooooooo worth it xx

Think I might sqeeze in a 5GC tomorrow as well. Dont know where to start tho. I'm rubbish at gardening. Clearing leaves maybe? Cant really go wrong with that.

Got all the washing in - most of it dry and put away but odd few bits on the radiators to finish off. It was a lovely day again but I had so much on the line that it couldn't all dry properly.

Sorted out car insurance, found a cheaper quote and got that all done. As soon as the new stuff comes I'll cancel the old one so it doesn't renew itself at the beginning of March.

Glad your dog is OK lil_me - Our dog is getting older now and acts a bit weird sometimes, we just think she's a bit senile :D Bit like her owners.....

    Hello all,

Hugs to those who are ill or who have ill little ones. I'm home earlier than I expected because I came home just after lunch to do some work from here. I'll be working from home tomorrow as well. This is good, because it means I'll be able to get dinner prepared BEFORE my evening meeting so it's ready to eat when I get back so I may be able to do a bit of flying this evening after all. Let's see what I've achieved so far:

Orange comments are what were done Sunday, green comments will be what I've done today

Hmm more flying required - will get to it and report back later!

Clean windows & any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. Are there any that need rehoming?

    • Clean a radiator or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • HHI.. get that mountain gone!

got to garage across town after school drop off, with numbes 2 and 3 in tow, to leave car in for MOT and service.

Tip for anyone else in this position - the garage can ring DVLC direct and check on you whilst you are there. DVLC will ask you to confirm your name and address and will then, with your permission, give your details direct to the garage.

So hugs JillD - that was very naughty making you go home esp with littlies in tow.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

The rest of you a bit peeved at Quidco too? What was the point in doing the cup if they couldn't track it eh?

But I will go through it tonight and hope I haven't deleted any of the emails....

Like pigpen says, hopefully it will catch out those who cheated! I really don't believe some of the totals some teams got.
