AnW's- no one thinks of you as making us sad, you bring so much to this thread, although we have to be quick to get your choc LOL
lol I have to be quick to the choc as well when W is around!!!
What a horrible receptionist and well done on making her apologise :T make sure you put a complaint in in writing as well, if nothing else it should be flagged up as a training issue with the practice manager.
Hope you don't end up at the hospital later poor mite. And as for the chicken pox if he has got it then it could be a good thing that he passed it around at the party. Always better to catch these things at a young age, less likely to have any complications. Only problem might be if there were any expectant mum's there as well. I remember W being in hospital at Christmas with Bronchiolitis (his first Christmas) and then when he was discharged he caught chicken pox, poor thing was a very sorry soul.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
I am doing things, but i feel progress is slower than i wanted. I have spent a lot more time on the computer than i wanted to.
So i am going to do a HHC 1:30 to 2:00 once i have finished my lunch and see where i get, cos otherwise the day will disappear from me. Then i will spend a couple of hours on the school work and get some veg peeled for dinner etc. etc. So i can relax again this evening. Sounds like a plan to me.

tracey well done for sticking up for yourself. I get so fed up of people being bolshy, but feel reluctant to go off on one in case it affects the treatment, like the midwife when i went up to the hospital the other week being bolshy cos she was too busy. Tough. That is what your job is.
Anyway, hope Sam improves soon, and if it is chicken pox he will have been contagious for 2 weeks so nothing you can do about that0 -
Just don't want to make people feel sad when I post here!
You couldn't make us sad.. you do too many silly things that make us laugh for that!!
DH is a big part of your life and makes you who you are.. and we appreciate that, the same as you accept us saying what huge pains our hubbys are. You are always really supportive of everyone and we can do that for you too and I hope we do!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

My OH bless him, when he had 9 days off managed to take DD to school and back each day and he washed up twice, and sanded a tiny piece of dodgy paintwork down - I cant remember him doing anything else at all. I still had to cook tea everyday I came in from work, still had to load DW,WM and TD (refuse to do his ironing), and still had to do all the cleaning !!!!
Can you imagine me running about like a loon and letting him sit there doing nothing... ??? lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Well done on standing up to the receptionist at Drs - some of them would tell God off for not getting an appointment.
The ones we have now are lovely, but years ago I was put on the pill for problems with my periods - at this point I hadn't even kissed a man. Imagine how embarrassed I was when she shouted out in front of a packed reception that I needed to sign for the repeat prescription for the pill - I was fourteen and this was back in 1980 when young girls just didn't! (or at least didn't admit it!)
So, I've cuddled DS who seems out of sorts, probably cold same as me, I've changed all but one of the beds, I've changed all the towels (always change beds & towels on Monday), two lots of washing done so far, half a bin bag full of rubbish and I've nearly finished the christening stuff. Once I've finished those I start on the list - thank you pigpen for putting it up - I need all the help I can get.
Hoovering will have to wait until DH gets in as DS is traumatised by the hoover and needs to be cuddled whenever he hears it.Always another chapter0 -

Afternoon all
I'm going to be around a lot more than usual. Came home from work at 10.30 this morning and I dont think I'll be back for a couple of months. I've been suffering from work related depression for months. The underlying problems havent been resolved and I've had enough! Ever since I found this site and this thread in particular, I wish I had discovered you all last summer when I was off work. Well, I've got you now
Can I apologise now for forgetting things? My memory has been badly affected by my depression, but I'm really struggling today. I cant even remember what my GP is called!
(((Jill))) - I hope you're feeling better today. Please go back and see your GP/HV. Cant remember if your taking AD, but the dose might not be right. Do you have any family/friends nearby that you could leave the children with? Or could you book them into a creche at the local leisure centre while you have a swim/go to an excercise class?
AnW'sMum - I didnt know about DH. Big hugs to you. I'm a strawberry with the local police force.0 -
Ach, lost half my post!!
Away for a wee tidy up to see if my headache clears xx0 -
Skintscottslass - sorry to hear you're not feeling brilliant but cool that you'll be around more!!
Tracy - hope little one is better soon.
Tia and Tracy - thanks for your good wishes about our puppy dog - well she's 11 so not really a puppy anymore. Anyway, the vet has just phoned and she isn't diabetic. They think it's just old age and she's going a little bit odd because of that (I know the feeling!). So happy puppy for now xx0 -
Third time lucky - it just crashes every time I post.
Dusty kitten - I like the sound of the hellebores from seed. I get mine from my Dad who does his from seedlings. I must have 50 or so, but only 5 of flowering size, I have to give them back if they are anything special though! What bulbs have you got?
Just spend a tedious couple of minutes tracking through my wilkos purchases for the quidco cup. Luckily I kept the order confirmations so know my order numbers - 4 orders, £300 plus.
Did a couple of hours of intensive clean this morning as we had some ds friends over to play. Just need to re dyson as they have walked mud everywhere....'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
