Just to give you all a Monday morning smile
Came downstairs with DS to get him a drink at 4am, dogs were most put out at being woken, opened fridge to get some milk and my naughty Basset hound stuck his head in and nicked the left over chicken. So 4am I'm running about with dressing gown flapping open, DS screaming, chasing a 6 stone dog round the dining table with half a chicken in his mouth. Great!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
Morning flyladies. Hope we are all feeling ok on this monday morning.
I have been awake since 6:30 with DS, even though we were planning a lie in till 7am, but never mind. It was very cold, icy and foggy this morning, but now the sun has come out and it is supposed to be a lovely day.
tinsel congrats on your news. I will keep everything crossed that things go smoothly this time for you.
hex lovely rennovations. It looks so cosy with that stove. Although i know what you mean about mess from when DH ripped out our york stone fireplace.
Jill I think we all feel overwhelmed when we get tired. We wouldn't be human if not. I think the problem is you are knackered and still trying to do things. Again, us perfectionist flylady types are talking from experience. I think you need to stop working when your hubbie does once you have the kids in bed. Have a few nights off. After all, the cleaning will still be there when you go back, and the only difference is it will be a little bit grimier. Men can be a funny species. I know mine can be brilliant and help out loads when he knows i am struggling, but if he thinks i am ok he lets me get on, and he often sits slobbed on the settee while i am slaving away doing school stuff till 11pm. Probably making me take longer too as he distracts me. Remember the baby will only be small for a while longer. 5 months is not that old, and she will sleep through soon, and you will get more rest. If you do go back to work, he will definitely need to help you more sweetie. They are half his kids after all.
Anyway, quick list check and then i am off and i will not waste all day on here. I was looking around the house with half term eyes this morning (thinking how grim everywhere looks from just dropping things everywhere and then not bothering to put away) so my aim is for a dramatic improvement with as little of my energy as i can. I collected my books from school this morning, and DH has said he will drop charlie off at nursery tomorrow for me so that i can get on, so a slightly later start today but i should get a fantastic run tomorrow. Later in the week i have plans to go girly shopping by myself for some me time, and start to get some little bits for the baby, and also to have lunch with a friend who is on maternity leave with her 6 week old baby, so must slave at the start of the week to fit everything in.
Will be checking in regularly though for motivation.

Welcome Shelvis and welcome back Hev!
Now, does anybody else see the logic in re hanging freshly washed curtains while still wet if I'm only going to dry them indoors anyhow? They're not bulky and it might save ironing if I dry them drawn shut..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

Makes sense to me, I've done it before on my own and with nets.

Anw - I also didn't realise DH was a policeman - wasn't sure if you had ever posted about what happened and I missed it or you had just not told us and I didn't want to pry.
Tori I haven't post a lot on this thread about DH, have posted more on Stormybay's thread. There are a lot of people on there who have lost people close to them, it's a great place for support. Not that this thread isn't but I like the fact that it is more light hearted on here. I know there is oodles of support here as well and I do appreciate it. Just don't want to make people feel sad when I post here!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0
