  • No, the government should further add duty on the fuel.
I can't believe no-one thinks that this works. I bought two of these "water burning" units and fitted them both in my car. Initially I only had one, but I realised that with two I would produce enough HHO that I can actually run my car off it AND have some HHO left over, which is great. In the evening I connect my car to the mains via a plug socket and sell the power back into the national grid, thus simultaneously reducing my electricity bill AND refueling my car!

Strangely enough, I find Evian gives me the best mpg, while those Sainsbury's Basics 2 litre bottles makes the car judder quite a lot. If I need to up the power output I just whack in some fizzy water and get about five minutes of hairy turbo.

Yes, it's too expensive and the government should lower the duty on it.
Hi! I've been looking online at various "water for fuel" websites, which seem to make some pretty impressive claims based on what seems fairly solid science on how you can fit a diy system to your car to make it run on gas produced from water and bicarb. Has anyone tried the system/know anything about it? I'd love to hear some solid facts on it!

Hope this hasn't been posted anywhere else, I looked but didn't find. If it is, I apologise!!

Plenty of disbelievers on here. There is a big thread about it somewhere in Motoring. I would go for it and let us know how you get on.:A

    This actually worked for me.
However since I found a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow I can afford petrol again.

Vikingaero, I thought this was motoring, and I really looked for the thread! Please give a poor, confused, very obviously blind newbie some directions!
    Thanks!

It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

I cant believe some people even consider this is even plausible. My God I am going to be a con artist there are so many mugs out there all you have to do is get a product that is in short supply and demand high at the right price

On a web site I cannot find now there was an independent report done on all these magnets and water for fuel devices.
The results varied from making fuel consumption worse (by far the most common result) to no difference through to dangerous due to modifications made.
There is a book about how to construct your own kit which then uses water in the fuel / air supply which did give savings of around 10% to 15%, but you have to butcher your car a fair bit and remember to keep the plastic bottle of water filled up under the bonnet. Not sure I want a plastic bottle of water under my bonnet.

Give all these ideas a miss, use the sensible methods of reducing your cars fuel use and then try to get some comfort from the fact oil is dropping in price again, though I'm sure it will still be "expensive" when the downward price correction is complete.
