the statement on their site says they have not taken money from anyones cards...

They accepted paypal payments to which on their site they said
Update - 11th February
Due to the enormity of the response for this offer we did not, have not, and will not process any credit cards. If you paid by PayPal we are choosing to honour your orders first, as PayPal have locked our account for 180 days whilst they investigate us as the burst of activity was seen as 'highly suspicious'.

They said anyone who was getting something was sent an email, I havent had one so I have emailed asking about the £2 I paid and havent even got a reply. I might report it to paypal out of principal. If the account has been locked they cant receive funds but I think the option to refund is still available.

We've all been had. In all honesty, I didn't expect them to send them anyway. So many companies have these freebie offers and never send anything. What gets on my ***s is that they send an email out to people and go on about sending stuff out to the 12000 or whatever many people that applied. Couldn't they just have been honest and said sorry, but only 100 people are going to get stuff. If you are not one of them, tough. That's what Lucozade did a while ago, at least you know where you stand!

Did anyone actually get a freebie who didnt order the seeds?

To me it looks like they have honoured the freebie to those who have generated a profit to their company.

Exactly, and they still took peoples details saying they were expecting to have some more bits to give out and would try to give to all.

I'm sure the spam will follow.
• I had to contact Ethical Juicers Last week as i didnt get my freebie - got a snotty reply back saying you must not have got the email direct from us stating terms and conditions. It just so happens that i am on their mailing list and did receive the email - however there were no terms or conditions - nothing stating you had to buy something to get the freebie. I did reply in anger stating what i had in email but have since been ignored. have the emails confirming my order and stating it would be despatched within 24 hours but nothing

I have just filed it with Paypal, its not the money its the principal of it.

And how do we know they didnt intend for this to happen, lets face it there are scams on the internet involving accepting paypal as payment. If 12000 people applied and a few paid postage at £2 then they have just had the opportunity to scam funds. They must of had a fair amount of payments in for Paypal to suspend their account for 180 days!
• they certainly have left themselves open I have no sympathy for them. If they wanted to restrict people fgetting these products then why put them on the home page? Saw a few things i liked on the site but will not be buying from them due to the principle of their treatement. This has backfired on them in spectacular fashion it seems.

I have unsubscribed from their mailing list. I hope everyone follows suit. ** Don't get me wrong, I am sure they are a really good company etc. but if they don't have the decency to honour freebies, they are not worth it! **

I ordered seeds and got a freebie, but there is no way that my order generated profit for the company as, thanks to OP, I used a voucher code which meant that I was charged £2.99 for a £5.99 product an expensive shampoo and p&p. This amount would barely cover p&p.
