I've not had the phone call yet nor a message although I've had the letter this morning, I think if and when she does ring I will be very interested to find out who in TS's has managed to investigate the matter and which consumers they have interviewed to enable them to give their actions a clean bill of health ;)
    Same here!!

  • Mine is a purchase made in store. The T&Cs on my documentation do not include a clause about refusal to deliver. There is no reference to cancellations what so ever.
My brother purchased a unit via telesales. He has a letter confirming receipt of payment in full. His T&cs are exactly as those listed on my documentation.

No refunds, letters or phonecalls received yet. Let's see what happens!

It wasn't even a decimal place because according to my letter from them it was advertised at 357.11 instead of 3579.10.
It is not only the fact that the price was wrong that has upset everyone, it is also the way that B&Q have dealt with it, taking the money, confirming the order, waiting 5 days before contacting us and attempting to blame the purchaser by stating it was an obvious mistake - after all they only take 'all reasonable precautions to ensure prices are accurate' according to the letter!

And wouldn't you think that 'all reasonable precautions' would include a simple bit of programming that makes a window pop-up with a warning, possibly even making a beeping noise, if someone entering new prices tries to reduce a price by over a certain percentage? Mind you, it's probably a lot to ask if their calculators don't work properly.

Maybe you will get yours then, keep us posted as this may make our internet orders stronger. I can't believe orders were also taken in store - if it was such an obvious mistake why didn't the staff notice??

    Please keep us posted.

you would think so wouldn't you but I suppose upgrades like this to the system would eat into profits!! Mind you it is not unusual for clearance and sale items to have 90% off as I bought some beautiful mirrors last year reduced from 30.00 to 3.00! (sorry but my pound sign not working) and does anyone remember the rug clearance?? Some were a couple of hundred pounds down to a tenner!

Anyway must get to bed, although struggling to sleep as I can't stop thinking about sitting in my garden room in the summer with my G&T.. oh if only..............;) ;)
    Night night.

Will be interesting to see how they get out of supplying it if bought instore or by phone as it seems their t and cs are different. It makes it worse or better that they havent contacted you yet.

I know of a phone order who has received exactly the same letter cancelling the order (on the same day as receiving the receipt for the purchase)
