another one written to Watchdog, I also wrote to B&Q to register my complaint that they are failing to fulfill our contract. Had phone message and letter but they haven't returned the money.0

I have sent all my details to Watchdog,
Please could everyone who purchased a garden office, contact consumer direct, you will be logged under your postcode, and trading standards will be involved as well. We must at present keep all options open.0 -
Got my letter today. No phone call or email. I've sent a letter back saying thanks but no thanks, I'll have my plastic shed instead as per contract!
Very interesting about them only being £1600 at the end of Jan. Makes it even more difficult for them to argue an "obvious misprice" defence, especially when their own staff have confirmed the price and taken telephone orders and not picked up on it.
I think they've handled it really poorly. At the very least, they should have notified people much more promptly and the offer of 10% off an inflated price is a joke!0 -
I would like to does anyone have the watchdog details i need so i can email, please pm if you do,thank-youLucky No27

Just to say I have e-mailed Watchdog also as I have purchased from store and have other issues with their T&C's regarding Ownership of the Goods: "Ownership of the goods shall remain with B&Q and shall not pass to the customer until the agreed price for them, together with all other sums due from the customer to B&Q, have been paid in full. Which i have paid in full with cash0

I will also send details to Consumer Direct. What are their details/web address please?
Seems that as many of us who can contact both these people and Watchdog the better, it can only help us!
For anyone having trouble finding how to contact Watchdog, just do a UK Google search for BBC Watchdog. That will give you the link to their site, and there's a part that says 'contact us'. On there is a form to complete, and their e-mail/postal address.0 -
Just submitted my complaint to watchdog.
Had letter and call today from B& Q & was told trading standards had looked into this and it was okay for them to cancel the order.
Will probably come to nothing but who knows!0 -
I've just had the snotty letter from Block & Quayle telling me I'm a numpty for not spotting the "obvious mistake".
I'm going to call Consumer Direct in the morning to follow this up. Thanks to those who have already complained - let's show them some Dunkirk spirit... :T0 -
I have emailed Consumer Direct too

But.... has B&Q informed Trading Standards that it was advertised as a sale, was confirmed in store and on the telephone by members of staff, money taken and that it was for sale for 1600.00 at the beginning of January??????
Or maybe that is just what the bosses have told the staff to say when they phone the customer, just incase the customer gets upset and wants to take the matter further??
Just a thought.
