Yes it does. But with Nationwide you need to have joined and been a continuous member since before November 1997 'on paper' to get a demutulisation payment. I say 'on paper' because the number of 'signaway' members now heavily outnumbers the number members entitled (about 60:40). Since all members have one vote and a 75 percent vote in favour is necessary it is commonly understood that the 'signaways' would have to be offered these rights if the question was ever put. (Whether the question will ever be put is a moot one of course, since the Board remains inplaccably opposed - unless they could significantly raise their pay, say?)

Thanks - actually, I'm sure I remember them announcing the charitable donations thing so I must have been with them before then. Haven't had anything in there for a long time - can't decide whether I should tie a ton up on speculation . I had money in Scarborough for years waiting for them to go the same was as Halifax, Leeds Perm and B&B but they never did
