    I've been Money Tipped!
Not able to wait I have phoned the 0800 delivery number and asked her to check each of bar codes on my written order. ONE IS OUT OF STOCK NOT GETTING IN TILL SEPTEMBER BUT SHE WENT OFF TO CHECK AND TOLD NOT GETTING AT ALL!! This is just one pack out of the four she said but could not tell me what the pack contains.

I said what is the use of sending on Monday if parts are missing. She said can refund!!! I am going to ring HQ again..... I want a jungle gym now...not waiting any longer with this whole fiasco.

Have phoned my chap at B&Q he is ging to check this and call me back - he understood that they have told loads of people sorry not getting one. But those that have had the written confirmations should be getting the climbing frames. He is not aware of orders being delivered but with bits missing.

I will post when he calls - to date he has not let my down on the call back front anyway.
  • Well,

Cant add much as everbody covered every aspect - However I did recive a call as they had got my complaint letter and I know its not much by they have compensated me by sending £20-00 BQ vouchers.

OK its not what i wanted as I to ordered the ben nevis but still money saving ( as 2 weeks before bought one of the 3+ water slides for 19.87 down from 75.99 ) I saw 30 dissapear in 10 minutes and heard 2 blokes say openly they bang them on ebay for £50.00 ;-(((

Good Luck to the people that did bad luck to people like me but make sure you get a BQ Vouchers ;-)))))
Tell it as it should be....

So far no-one has posted in reply to this who has had written confirmation and then been let down. Just to add to this, today monies have been taken out of my account. I will be giving the delivery centre another call today to see whether a date can be given yet. Despite the numerous false starts everything appears to be running through as a transaction should do...for now anyway, we'll see

OK, just phoned through to the delivery people and I have been given a delivery date of next Friday. Still not building my hopes up though

Have just read your other post, had a feeling you worked for them/subsidiary.

    My feelings as well

Just had my delivery from b&q, well half of it, the slide as turned up but nothing else  I was told that everything would be arriving today when they called me to arrange delivery. I'm still waiting for someone to answer the phone at b&q to answer my query :wall:

So sunday when I have retrieved the message from the answer machine, Iwas informed that a refund had been approved. So wednesday and not a refund in sight does it take 3 days ?
  • My sister (a lawyer) has just spoken to a lady called 'Pip' who deals with PR for B&Q. They apparently had no idea that there are so many aggreived customers (?), and are now going to look into things. She is particularly interested in getting details of those of us who are having difficulties.

They haven't provided a direct number for us complainee's so I'd just call HQ on: 02380 257 257 and ask to speak to/leave details for Pip in PR.

In the mean time don't get disheartened, we're not going to stop until something is done and nor should you.

B&Q could offer more: My sister had a kitchen supplied by them and the worktops were defective, they paid for the full re-fitting costs and provided new worktops (£600 worth, £480 of which was given by cheque).

Come on Pip, do something reasonable £20 is not enough. There are children who won't have their toys because of B&Q and parents who may not be able to stretch to buy them a comparable item elsewhere.

OK. Had a call back. Confirmed that the missing pack is definately out of stock. He said would I accept the rest if B&Q paid for this missing timbers to make it complete!!!!!! He did not know what was missing so he is calling the manufacturer to see what is in pack03303917. How can they offer to pay for bits they have no ideal what they are. Why are incomplete frames being delivered?? They are delivering goods incomplete and nobody at B&Q who deals with complaints seems to be aware of this.

Do these people not communicate with each other.

What do I say to him. I was lost for words. Awaiting call back.

Thanks Rob, we're trying this angle now.
All we have been given is profuse apologies.
