I was just about to pm you but thought maybe it would be better to set up a template to make it easier to co ordinate all those pms
Just quickly, I thought these questions perhaps cover most and if we could keep them in an agreed sequence.

    1. Order Date/Time
    2. Confirmation email Date/Time
    3. Card Charged Date
    4. Promised Delivery Date
    5. Actual delivery date
    5. Items ordered
    6. Items outstanding
    7. B & Q's response
    8 Any further action?
    9. Any other relevant info

Please this is just a suggestion so feel free ammend or delete.

Great idea osagefo, many thanks for that.

I have had quite a few PMs already, and am hoping to get lots more over the next couple of days. I shall be taking this down as many avenues as possible, and am currently looking into the possilbilty of reporting them to:
Trading Standards, Watchdog, Small Claims Court, a national newspaper and a national Woman's magazine consumer page. The more coverage the better as far as I am concerned.

I have had enough of large companies taking us for a ride and then refusing to take any responsibililty for their own mistakes. B&Q should be sourcing these products for us and ensuring that we receive them, plus I also want compensation for the fact that I paid via credit card almost three weeks ago. B&Q must have earned a nice amount of interest from all of our payments just sitting in their bank account in return for a big fat nothing.

Today I am 'Woman on Fire' and I am determined to see justice done!

just come back from holiday and i've been catching up on all the posts.
Its seems i'm in the same boat as others.
I ordered on monday 18th 9.00am recieved confirmation straight away. On tuesday found out my order is not on system my cc details taken again.
Phoned on wednesday again no details showing, helpful young man takes name and details to pass on to team who are sorting this fracas.
Recieved call on thursday from b&q assuring me i would recieve playcentre, and that someone would ring me next week for my cc details.
I thought thats that no ones going to ring me and put it at the back of my head.
Went off for my holiday and what do you know!Someone rang me whilst I'm on holiday and processed my order thru.
Recieved confirmation thru post and I've also had call from delivery to confirm date of delivery. But from what I've read today it seems everyones been taken for a ride, so I'm going to wait and see what happens in the next few days!

To quote directly from CAB website :-

UK websites are considered to be adverts and therefore have to observe the British Codes of Advertising, Sales, Promotion and Direct marketing which says that adverts must be legal, decent, honest and truthful. It may also be a criminal offence if the website describes goods in a misleading way in order to sell them. ASA are on (020) 7492 2222

So to clarify this, B&Q have not been honest (in stock when not), truthful (in stock when not) and certainly mis-led customers into buying something they had absolutely no intention of supply (in stock when not). This is the kind of scam you find on e-bay where people offer 'tickets to FA Cup Final', you pay your money, you get no tickets and no refund from your CC/Paypal. These poeple, when caught, tend to go to prision for deception.

Just becuase B&Q are big and ignore your complaints, doesn't mean they are not exactly the same as the e-bay thieves. What is the difference here, B&Q have our money, they've supplied nothing, they don't answer calls. This is criminal activity I'm sure.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

I have sent an e-mail to Watchdog informing them of what diy.com have done. I sugget that everyone does this so that they can see there is a problem with the company when reviewing their notes.

I have told Watchdog that I am compiling a list of people who have been let down, hopefully they will see that this is no small error and will take up our case.

I am also looking at what other avenues we can pursue, my dad knows loads of solicitors who should be able to advise him of the legalities of what B&Q have done.

If anyone has any other ideas, please PM me, I am going to take this as far as possible with the Powers that Be!

Just to add my tale of woe...

Ordered a swing/slide set on the evening of the 15th July. Got order confirmation, money taken, etc.

Phoned a few days later to check order, and arrang delivery date (today).

Waiting in today - thought I'd give them a quick call.... order cancelled.

So furious, my 5 year old lad is going to be heartbroken.

Have left B&Q supervisor in no doubt as to how displeased I am, and am incensed by their "computer says no" attitude of "out of stock".

I'm awaiting a return call from a "manager", and have requested a letter from them (which they refused to write) confirming their position on this.

I just hope that we can all !!!!!! a few concious minds, that it is not an another electrical item that we can do without, but something for our children, when we tell our children to expect a play centre for their birthday, or gift. They do not understand when it is taken awy from them and all that stands in its place is an empty patch of lawn where their old play area was. My children can see their old toys in the neighbours garden it is heart breaking. B&Q should have a heart and listen to us all, we have a genuine reason to complain, to quote my five year old through his tears."that so unfair man".
