Well I'm getting as confused as the B&Q Customer Services Dept., had a phone call today saying that they still can't find my order but I can have either the Ben Nevis (which I originally ordered) as they are in stock or the Matterhorn (which I chose as an alternative) which may be delivered but they don't know when...so, I have gone back for the Ben Nevis option as they said that these are actually in stock

    We'll see

    Hello
Well I haven't checked that all the bits are there yet - but on a happier note - we did get our Ben Nevis delivered - the delivery people even did me a favour and took it round to my Mum and Dads. They weren't supposed to but were very happy after a cup of tea.
This is after B&Q mucked us about with the delivery date and told us no way could we alter the delivery address. Will have a good look at it tomorrow to check it's all there.
Have you got a postal address to write to about problems - or just a phone number?
    Sarah

Still waiting for a delivery date but I'm not holding my breath anymore. Sounds like you can't rely on anything until the item is standing complete in your garden. This is rapidly becoming the farce of the year!

I am still waiting and although they say I am on the list this seems to be dragging on a bit.

Can any of you shed any light on relatiuonship between order date and delivery date?

I ordered on 19 July about 0930am and received e-mail confirmation at 0953. No sign of delivery!!
  • Got my table tennis table but noted that the 8mm washers don't exist - instead 16mm ones are provided, which need to be split in half for the legs to work correctly. Other than that it's a mega bargain!

our problem has nothing to do with this original offer but to do with b&q online

we ordered a ladder to big to put into a car so paid for delivery we got confirmed delivery date for wed.. stayed in all day and nothing. we phoned them and they told us that they had changed the date to the thursday which was no good as we were going away for the weekend.. tried to cancel and got a really nasty man on the line .. i rang the other number and they said it was cancelled for the thursday and i had to ring on the friday to get another delivery date.. we did this got a delivery date for tues and when we got home on the sunday night find out they had tried to deliver the ladder on the thursday and left it with neighbour.. also all the details on the delvery note were forsomeone else.. all there contact details address phone number etc.. .. and then guess what yes they tried to deliver another ladder on the tues, we told nightfreight we didnt want it and that b&q say you have to refuse it 3 times before they take it back ..night freight said they would send it back for us.. its one major cockup for the online system for everything that is ordered.. ive never had a problem with homebase or focus online and i wouldnt use diy.co.uk every again..
Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

Well started to assemble the McKinley today but there wasn’t any instructions and main bolts so phone B&Q very helpful person knew about it and said there should have been another parcel I should get a phone call Monday or Tuesday to arrange delivery trouble is my kids were helping me and got too excited now I have to live with irate kids for another couple of days. Still very happy with deal though so long as they send the right bits and nothing else missing.

  • B&Q have just rung - our Mont Blanc was scheduled to be delivered this forthcoming Wednesday but they have a problem with their stock so will be replacing it with a Matterhorn at no extra charge. Won't be coming on Wednesday but wasn't in any rush for it anyway.
Hopeless by name, hopeless by nature.
  • Our Mont Blanc arrived Friday morning. Spent 10 hours on it Friday and another 3 or 4 (in the rain) today. Finally finished it. Had to build it on a slope that made life a bit difficult. Also, the see-saw and spiral slide instructions were entirely in French! Good quality though and a fantastic bargain. Very happy children - one was 3 today. Thanks again to the original poster.
