Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 17 - Post your finds here

Hello I'm new to posting but have been lurking since January and thought I should say hi and a big thank you for all the hints and tips on here!

My husband is usually the bargain hunter in our household and he knew about the 75% sale and got a few things online when that started and I then found the grabbit board on here when trying to track down some ofthe ELC items (which I never did manage to get as they were always out of stock!!)

I got some great bargains in store in the sale and now have most presents sorted for the year - got 3 plastic crates full of goodies!

I thought once the sale was over that would be it but I think I may be addicted to Boots

Have just had a fab shop and I wouldn't have had the guts to try some of it without reading up on here so thank you:j

shop 1:
got the P+P set
GWP
used £5 off no 7 voucher
total to pay £15 and got £5 voucher back- till wouldn't accept the 250 extra points on no 7 though that I had from one of the Christmas sets.

shop 2:
bits I needed for my toddler including a step up stool from the clearance bit and used the half price on baby expert PC voucher - till wouldn't accept it though so had to go through manually and they took slightly more off than half price.
total to pay £11.08 so got another £5 voucher back

shop 3:
soap and glory glow crazy set 1/3 off
razor blades (to make spend up to £10 to get another voucher!!)

Was lurking around the no 7 stand for ages but no sign of the P+P sets and then I found one in with the valentines gifts across the store - decided to be brave and go and ask the no 7 SA if they had any more - was a bit apprehensive after reading your horror stories about the no 7 SAs on here but she was lovely and seemed really pleased I had found one as only 9 delivered so far although they are expecting more. I went off to pay elsewhere and then on my way out remembered I had a free illuminating powder voucher so went to check and they are all out of stock but lovely no 7 SA said to go back in the week when they should have more in with my receipt from today and she will give me one then as she knew I bought the P+P set today:j

No reduced Q10 creams - thought I'd got lucky as there were 2 night creams on the shelf but they scanned at the £6ish price so I left them.

oh, forgot to say this was the Woking store!!

sorry have rambled but you will all understand whereas when I try to tell my husband he just thinks I'm mad!!!

St. Enoch Centre had about 10 of them yesterday.

Braehead have cleared the shelves of them since the GWP came out.

Welcome Kokey, you had a really good shop & a lovely SA so well done.

I think it's a shame we ,moan about some SA but really they do make you feel that you are doing them an injustice by making the most of the offers. I mean it is Mr B who is offering the vouchers up in the 1st place & as store staff they really ought to simply sell & assist ( basically their job )

I heard a SA last week moaning that Superdrug had 'her' stuff in cheaper than Boots as did Adsa have Max Factors. They ( various ) beauty dept SA were all verbally comparing stores so they ought really to be glad that we are in there buying it up, all vouchers/coupons depending granted but moving it off the shelves all the same.

Whoaaaa that looked like a moan but it's just more an observation really.

st enoch had none they have regular mags in the boots mag rack. ek had only a few left and i havent seen any anywhere else!!!

Today I got the no 7 highlighter and the no7 essential moisturising foundation
so £10.50 and £10. Gave them both to the SA and total came to £20.50, so got GWP. I then handed over highlighter voucher from mag and it took £10.50 off. I then gave her the parenting £5 voucher so down to £5 now. Then I gave her the £5 off voucher (one you get when you spend £10 in Boots at the mo) and hey presto the total to pay was NIL :T Well pleased! Hope you are as lucky. the GWP is gorgeous :T

Well done, great shop:D Did the 5.00 PC scan ok, or did the SA override the till? I've tried using mine a couple of times, but got the dreaded beep maybe it only works with certain products?

Well done. You'll probably notice it only gave you the points on the amount over the price of the dress and the No 7 points purchase . I don't think they have systems sophisticated enough to look at what points you were awarded without the bar codes on the bottom of the original reciept. hth hope those are the right abbreviations it took me ages to work out what iykwim meant.
