  • So now we have loads of points, what do we spend them on?

Is anyone saving for a big points spend?

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :T :T

I'm spending like mad and saving points and holding onto them has if they are gold dust:rotfl: Idea is to spend them in 75% sale but I bet when it comes to the crunch I won't be able to part with the points :rotfl:

Well, I was saving my points but spotted the 1/3 off Soap & Glory sets, I couldn't resist even though I didn't really need one. It didn't feel so naughty treating myself when using points.

I went to Kingsway today, They had quite a few of the P&P sets out, but they were going fast. I had been asked to get one if I saw one.

    I got the P&P set,
    GWP
    highlighter.

The highlighter was hidden underneath a mag and the very nice young lad on the till started to tell me about the voucher in the back of the mag for the free highlighter. I thanked him and said I had my highlighter and voucher ready. He put the things through the till, but when he came to scan the highlighter voucher, it didn't work!! He was mortified, having told me about it, he said he'd been telling people all day about it. He thought it might be because it was a gift set, but I said I didn't think so, as I had done the same combination before with no problem. He went to ask his supervisor, who said it should go through, he tried it again, but still no luck, so he just voided the highlighter from the bill and put it in the bag anyway as he said it should be free. Then he tried to put a 250 point coupn through from my last GWP, but that didn't want to work either, he read the coupon and said he couldn't see why that wouldn't go through, so manually added the points on at the end. The £5 No 7 voucher went through with no problem. Then I got another voucher and one of the till spit surveys. I told him I was going to say how helpful he had been.

They also had lots of mags and lots of highlighter powder.
Also had reduced cucumber stuff, only half price though, and a few bits and bobs on the clearance shelf, although nothing really exciting, although there was a few reduced No7 sunless tanning sets? at £3.
No Q10. The shampoos and conditioners (Boots tea tree/mint etc), that someone said were 6 for 3 on Boots.com were BOGOF.

Pinkytots, I looked in there for the Gucci Rush for you, but they hadn't any.
  • I did have £80.00 worth of points but I spent them on paying for xmas presents and the sale, I initally wanted to save for next xmas and sales but if I get enough during the middle of the year I might treat myself to something big I dont know what.

Since starting Bootsing I have been hoarding my points for birthday and Xmas gifts, so have only used points for OH's birthday digital camera (August) & the 75% sale (loads of gifts for the year) :D

DS2 is 18 soon but needed to boost the points for his present - was delighted to finally do it today! :j

    2 x Q10 cleanser @ 4.99 = 9.98 800 points
    No 7 4in1 wipes = 6.50 250 points GWP vchr
No 7 highlighter = 10.25 free with mag vchr
    TOTAL less £5 no 7 vchr = £ 11.48 + 1050 points + £5 No 7 vchr

SA was lovely and tried all the vouchers: she seemed as pleased as I was!

And if peeps have c+p'd your posts - so what? It might not have been anyone from here - it could have been anyone of a couple of million peeps

I think its more likely to be someone from Boots who came on here to have a nosey because you mentioned where you had come from. Then they were getting their own back, rather than someone from here doing it.

It's just a hazard of notice boards and the like imho ;) Not worth getting anyone's knickers in a twist about.

Anyway, back to these points :)

I'm collecting mine but not sure why lol. Just out of interest, does anyone know what the most expensive thing is that Boots sell?
