Better not visit whatever Boots store she works at!

I thought you both thought that was me. Name isn't far off though.

To keep things on topic I'm off now to drag DH and kids around Boots looking for the P&P sets and Q10 creams. Wish me luck, hopefully I'll have a success story later.

Hi Loverlee, Here are the answers to your questions:-

Q...Does the 10% discount apply when you use points?
A...Yes. Receipt will show price in points then reduce it by 10% and show that amount also

Q...Does it apply on top of 3 or 2's, or half price offers, and already reduced items?
A... Half price offers - This works really well. The till gives you the 10% off the FULL price. Then reduces it to the half price. Same principle applies to any other reduced offer

Example if the items costs £50 (5000pts) it will reduce the amount to 4500pts, then reduce it by 50% to 2250pts See receipt
I have never used points for 342 so dont know how that works. In theory you should get it, but best to ask customer service or SA first. HTH. Polly

    :j :j

Thanks, Polly, that is a wonderful answer to my questions, and thanks for the link to the receipt. I will have to get OH to try with some Boots stuff, as I've never noticed the discount apply, and I now know what to look for.

and it's not very clear is it? (I checked for future reference for when my oh hits 60 in a few years time ;))

Thanks passion8, it's good to get all the info together, to try to work it through.

If you are registered ( by post, online or at the ACM) and they have your correct birth date, you should get a coupon to take to the till which will activate a discount to get certain 1/2 price Boots own brand prodcuts and the over 60's discount too. I am assuming the over 60's discount will be automatic when you present the Health Club coupon, but as Mum has not activated her coupon yet I cannot confirm this. Can anyone else confirm this?

    Thanks, Danigrace.
Anyone got any more info to add?

Hi Danigrace, your mum will need to get the HC voucher scanned to activate it to get her discount applied . Tell her to ask for it back also, as a common problem is the the discount (on my card) regularly disappears. Anyone with this discount needs to check the top of the receipt. It will show a thick black line with these words running through it
    *** 60 OR OVER SAVE ***

If it's not there you will need to reactivate it again. Mine has just gone for the fourth time. Now I just have the voucher reactivated again. It also means checking the receipts regularly. CS say they have never heard of it before, which is rubbish cos its happened to other people on here, and seems to happen to me every few weeks. enjoy the discount as Boots make lots of products which dont always appear to have their name on them.

To all you young Bootsers, nothing to stop you having your mum live with you so you can use her card  :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and get her discount. I am sure she wont mind :T :T Especially good on No7, 342 :p

We got a new discussion post, cos the last one was chatting about facebook, and this one has to be about boots vouchers and early bird shoppers.

I have loads of vouchers left, and i want you to help me if you can do the order i should give them.

Going to Trafford Centre Boots at 4pm today, after i have parked the car.

    I have got.........................................................

    Free no.7 powder voucher
    250 points no. 7 voucher
    100 points 17 voucher
    £5.00 no.7 voucher
Save £5 PA voucher (baby due beginning of May)
500 points on olay total effects voucher (handcream is usually about £4)
Save £2 sanctuary mum to be voucher

I have the health club vouchers saving £1 on spending £4 if i buy from the healthcare products.

I have the 300 points with the skin difference tablets, will check that one out first, oh i got to get my nappy bag too with nappies.

So come on what would you do, i want to spend as little as possible.

You want to get all your N7 stuff then hand over the extra point ones first. Then the PC one, then the £5 off one then the illum voucher last.

Have you used the 2 for £5 voucher out the acm for 17? If not grab 2 eye shadows for the £5 grab the gwp then hand over those vouchers.

Not sure bout the Sanctuary one.

Also there is a link on the first post next to the gwp for 17 that tells you about reduced mascara that you could take a note off and try if you want.

I wonder if that's what's happened to OH's? I'll have to pick something cheap for him to pay for, to check! It's a while since he got his card, though, so I haven't got anything to scan if it doesn't work.

Hi Babe, i will do the ACM and i didn't know about the reduced mascara, will have a look at that, and i will go to the 17 section.

Thank you for doing that for me, i am going to write it down and put the vouchers in all now.

My sister thinks i am mad, but lets see her face when i do this transaction today, it will be oh so funny!
