I asked about this the other day in store, for my Mum who was 60 in January. It is to do with the Health Club. If you are registered ( by post, online or at the ACM) and they have your correct birth date, you should get a coupon to take to the till which will activate a discount to get certain 1/2 price Boots own brand prodcuts and the over 60's discount too. I am assuming the over 60's discount will be automatic when you present the Health Club coupon, but as Mum has not activated her coupon yet I cannot confirm this. I don't want to mention the store, but I can understand now why Scrappy_mad and kitiaracat always say that they never have any luck with glitches with the No 7 SA.
I went in today and the conversation at the No7 counter went something like this.
'Do you have any of those new P&P sets in yet?'
'Not unless there are any down the other end'
'No, there's none down there. I was going to get myself one whilst the GWP off is on'
'Oh you won't get one of those with that'
'Why?'
'Because its a different offer'
'How do you work that out?'
I pointed to the sign which quite clearly said that if you send £20 on any No 7 purchase, you get the gift.
'Oh no, you can't have two offers together'
'But its not two offers'
'It is, the P&P at that price is on special offer'
'I don't think it is, its just a gift set to entice people to start using it'
'Well you couldn't have the two together'
'My friend did the other day in another store'
'Well she shouldn't have done'
'Well she did, in fact, she had the P&P set, the GWP, a free highlighter (because she had bought No 7) and then used the £5 No 7 voucher'
Well I thought she was going to have a heart attack.
'They shouldn't have put those through. It says clearly on the vouchers that they can't be used with any other offer'.
'But if the till says that the transaction is ok, who are we to argue with it?. Most stores seem to be putting it through ok'
'They shouldn't even have tried'
I just laughed and said 'I'd better go and get mine from somewhere else then' and walked off laughing.
