    Dear all

I haven't posted anything in this thread for a while due to my busy personal life. Just want to let you know that last night we finally decided to leave UK. My OH has got his career promotion to work in Far East. After our long discussion of pros & cons, we decided to take that opportunity. So before the end of Sep 08, we will be stay far away from UK for 3 years.

I will miss Boots thread so much. This is only a thread in MSE that I regularly visit. However, I will keep on reading and envy all your bargains from aboard.

Just the positive thinking, I still have more than 5 months to get some more boots shopping. But now I have to be careful about stocking things -- as I will be far away during Xmas 08.

Next week I will have to contact Boots.com to return my toys. We won't be here long enough for my kids to enjoy playing all of them. Luciky most of them still untouch and in box -- as I followed some suggestions here -- keeping giving toys for special occassions.

Back to Boots related topics, I will try No7 free highlight and gwp this weekend. Hope I will be lucky like most of you.
I will have to make a good plan of clearing out my items. I have a full stock room filled up with Boots products. Anyone can recommend me where to sell them, except ebay?
  • I rang CS yesterday about some missing points I needed adding on he put those on for me. I went onto explain about the No7 250 points voucher to be used against skincare etc and Sa wouldn't scan it. Said to him i would have accepted if till beeped but still phoned has it doesn't state anywhere on the voucher about it not being able to be used against current No7 P & P boxset. He agreed and said vouchers needed to be made more clearer and I had to ring back today to get 500 points added which I have done no problem.

Had a long conversation about some of the SA's and how most are so helpful you can't fault them and some who think they own the products you are trying to purchase etc. Asked what store so told him and he said it sounds as though some of them need retraining. I told him about SA walking off with No7 xmas compacts in 90% sale and putting them in the office. It doesn't bother me that they are getting a nice little perk of the job I think they are entitled to it. Tbh I most probably would be tempted to do the same if I worked there. My objection is the treatment and the way some SA's in my store choose to speak to me and it is unfortunately the older ones. Same age has the No7 compact horder lol......not being ageist here just an observation. He pointed out that on top of the sales buys they get their staff discount etc etc.

He is passing on my points to the managers and onto my store etc. I pointed out to get these vouchers we have to spend to get them its not like anyone is trying to rob Boots blind. If Boots don't like the fact we can get things cheaper and next to nothing I said they shouldn't issue them.

I'm expecting a ban soon .................:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wouldn't family and friends be interested to buy some from you or any work colleagues. I have read previously on here toiletries etc don't do too well at car boots etc people want them for next to nothing.

Can't you post a list here and let interested parties pm you etc.

Most importantly good luck with your new life and I hope all goes well for you and your family xxx

    Hi Sassi,
I have only recently started on here in the last week and it varies day to day if I ask something whether I get a reply. Sometimes there are pages going on really quickly. I bumped a post once but still never got a reply and as a result didnt bother to buy online as it seems like so much hassle. So I saved some money!! I am also new to Bootsing.
I also post on some other forums. I have now been "thanked" nearly 500 times but that is not from here, so I suppose it shows that the posts go on here so fast you need to go back pages and pages to read them all and yours can get overlooked.
I need to go as the dogs need out!
    Be back later.

  • Hiya. I don't know if there is an official term for this, but I've noticed that Boots often reduce their shelf labels for certain products to ridiculous prices with absolutely no obvious reason or fanfare. For example, Timotei Copper Highlights shampoo and conditioner are currently 45p each at London Liverpool Street station, their own-brand Pro-Vitamin conditioner is 20p, and Lee Stafford Wave Babe (or something) creme is £1.25. I recently bought some Mark Hill conditioner reduced to £1.89 in the Holborn (London) branch. I had the same thing happen in the tiny North Berwick branch (Midlothian) where Sunsilk Blonde shampoo and conditioner were 45p each and Colgate toothbrushes were also 45p.

The products are in the normal places and the labels say nothing specific, just the reduced price in a slightly smaller font than the rest of the labels. It's very easy to miss, but once I start looking, I start finding several.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

SA told me that it is probably because the packaging is changing, said it happened last year too!!
