  • Hi everyone,
Just a note to thank you all for your very interesting posts and tips on getting your free stuff in Boots. I have been a member of this site for a while now but only tend to use it when needing a new credit card or looking for a free delivery code for Next, my favourite store (I'm addicted to their sale which is still online now!!!)
I must say reading some of these Posts I could quite easily become a Boots addict. Following advice on here I have just been into Boots with my £5 off No7 voucher and brought the Dream Lash Mascara, The Illuminating Powder and also picked up the GWP and headed over to the till with a 'clearance' £2.50 750ml bottle of Pantene conditioner to add to it (I have 3 daughters with long hair who go through loads!!) and was really nervous thinking I wouldn't get away with my 100 extra points which I got from the machine, my free powder voucher from the Jan/Feb mag plus my £5.00 No7 voucher and ending up paying £10.50! I knew it should have been £7.50 with the Pantene but I was sooo... worried I would be told I couldn't use them I just paid and she gave me another £5.00 No& voucher. Just as she was packing my shopping and I was about to go she asked to look at my receipt. Much to my relief she had realised when she packed my shopping that she had charged me £4.99 for the Pantene and so she gave me a refund and didn't ask for my voucher back!! I left feeling very happy with my 'deals' and its thanks to you all.
I wold never have realised that you could do this until reading your posts.
I'm not sure I'm up to getting up at 5.00 am to get a bargain in the 75% off sale on Boots.com (I have enough of that when I get a VIP invitation to the Next sale and still end up at my local store at 5.00 am on the first day of the sale!!) but you never know!!!
Thanks again and keep it up - its great for us newbies!!!

I am now ready for my shop tomorrow with my notes on what to buy and which vouchers to use but am I better going through the ordinary checkouts or go to the No7 counter? I will be buying all No7 stuff to use 7 vouchers and I will be going to the boots in Eldon Square Newcastle.

    Thank you for any help.

Usually its best to avoid No7 tills when buying NO7 with vouchers etc.

Hi Loverlee, Here are the answers to your questions:-

Q...Does the 10% discount apply when you use points?
A...Yes. Receipt will show price in points then reduce it by 10% and show that amount also

Q...Does it apply on top of 3 or 2's, or half price offers, and already reduced items?
A... Half price offers - This works really well. The till gives you the 10% off the FULL price. Then reduces it to the half price. Same principle applies to any other reduced offer

Example if the items costs £50 (5000pts) it will reduce the amount to 4500pts, then reduce it by 50% to 2250pts See receipt
I have never used points for 342 so dont know how that works. In theory you should get it, but best to ask customer service or SA first. HTH. Polly

Thanks, Polly, that is a wonderful answer to my questions, and thanks for the link to the receipt. I will have to get OH to try with some Boots stuff, as I've never noticed the discount apply, and I now know what to look for.

I've just checked it out online here; http://www.bootshealthclub.com/terms_conditions.php

and it's not very clear is it? (I checked for future reference for when my oh hits 60 in a few years time ;))
Thanks passion8, it's good to get all the info together, to try to work it through.

I asked about this the other day in store, for my Mum who was 60 in January. It is to do with the Health Club. If you are registered ( by post, online or at the ACM) and they have your correct birth date, you should get a coupon to take to the till which will activate a discount to get certain 1/2 price Boots own brand prodcuts and the over 60's discount too. I am assuming the over 60's discount will be automatic when you present the Health Club coupon, but as Mum has not activated her coupon yet I cannot confirm this. Can anyone else confirm this?
    Thanks, Danigrace.
Anyone got any more info to add?

I like the new little catalogue, its abit of a hit and miss with the turn page thingy, but i like the new stock, i am going to be in Boots for hours at this rate.

I hope they have some sale stock left.

The Sanctuary minis are now on sale for £10 in one of those little online books.
