You could keep them in the oven or reheat, but would be better cooked fresh if possible IMO, depending on how much later is he going to be.
    Pawpurrs x ;)
  • will probably be a good hour after the rest of us have eaten! (flaming typical would ring after id already started). think i might risk it and leave his on a really low heat as theyre covered in sauce and in a casserole dish with lid on hopefully they will survive!
  • thanks for replying

    I've been Money Tipped!
    hi
kids want me to make meatballs in a tom sauce with pasta have no idea how to do it if left to me i would just make the balls with mincemeat and put a can of chopped toms on it but im sure theres more to it any ideas please
i cant slow down i wont be waiting for you i cant stop now because im dancing
  • I made some a while ago which were yummy: mix mince with a chopped onion and 1 egg - use judgement cos you only need enough to bind it. I threw in pepper etc then rolled into balls, pressing fairly firmly to keep them together. Quickly fry them to seal and brown the outside. For the sauce I used a tin of toms with some dried chilli flakes, garlic puree and dried herbs then bunged it all in SC for a few hours and served with spaghetti. I'm pretty sure this is how I made them but I might have missed something out - sort of made it up as I went along.

Meatballs always go down well in our house, and I use a tip from Nigella (whooo, look at me!) and she said to use semolina to roll the balls in before you fry them. This works really well. Also, I made them with turkey mince which is really easy to shape into balls.

this is s good way to get fussy eaters to eat veg as you can pure some peppers etc and add it to mince mix
and puree some carrots and add to the sauce

I like to make the sauce with passata, just pour over the browned meatballs and cook.
