My PC and laptop arrived today! Wayhey!

Interestingly the laptop arrived with a Dell 64Mb memory key AND an optical mouse!

    Well chuffed.

My Dimension 5100 and Inspiron 6000 both arrived this morning. But the 6000 didn't come with the free 64Mb memory key. I am almost sure it was part of the offer but on checking the PDF for the order it didn't appear on it. Can anyone remember when the free key offer ended or any details of it? I have emailed Dell and am waiting for a response but I thought I'd like to gather other people's experiences. Thanks.

Ah... that explains it. I ordered on the last day but had been thinking about what to get before then so would have seen it then. Thanks.

Don't pay Dell prices for DVD writers unless they're specified as part of the e-value code. You can buy a Pioneer 109 (16x dual layer writer) for about £36 plus delivery from https://www.svp.co.uk

    Good luck :)

Whats the best Dell PC deal for about £400 at the moment.

Basic use + could do with sound card and TFT - though I assume its probably best to buy these seperately.

    TIA

Received my 9100, all cables including DVI, usb etc. Also a 128 kb memory key. Very stylish BTX cabinet with excellent cooling features.

Anybody know what is the use of USB interface on 1704 monitor?

Yep,it's a usb2 hub.Simply connect the usb A-B cable from the monitor into your PC and then you have two usb ports on the back of the monitor and two on the right hand side. You can plug devices into the monitor as and when needed... :)
