mumzy some of your creditors will write to you and tell you they have accepted and some won't.
Most of them will be supporters of CCCS and it would be pretty silly of them not to accept a DMP organised by them!
CCCS will send you a statement every month showing how much you have paid and what the outstanding balance is. This may be a bit out as some creditors take longer than others to get themselves sorted out.
Some months you may get letters saying you haven't paid but just email CCCS and they will reassure you.0 -
mumzy I think our pack took about 7-10 days to arrive. Everything seems to take forever at teh start and then suddenly it all becomes calm.0
-
mumzy we send token payments so that the creditor knows we are just not refusing to pay.
The CCCS info pack will have letters in it for you to send off. I can't remember if this is before or after the initial telephone interview. As soon as you get your CCCS reference number you just need to quote this to any creditors. Some will say they've heard nothing weeks later but I think it just means nothing has been updated on their computer systems.0 -
HI,
I am pulling my hair out. I got a call last week from M&S money and they were ever so nice and understanding so I thought - great - at least one of my creditors is not going to cause me trouble and then this week got a letter saying that they have now added £12 penalty charge on my account. And Lloyds has been harrasing me over the phone, they even sent me a text message. I just gave them earfull over the phone and I was just told to go to the branch and get the branch to call them on my behalf. What is the problem communicating via Royal Mail? What has been the point of me sending them letters and talking to them over the phone? Ok thanks rant over just needed to get that out. I will go to LLoyds branch with my papers and get them stamped and forwarded if that helps and will send a letter to the manager of M&S who sent me the letter re penalty charges.
Can anybody please explain A S.A.R and CCA for me? When would I need to ask for these?
Thank you!!

Hi,
Could i join pls? Just sent off for my cccs welcome pack and unsure of what lies ahead for next 15 yrs eek!. My OH wanted to do an IVA as so it would be all over in 5yrs but i was worried about them forcing us to remortage and then being back to square one because more money going on mortage.! My creditors are lloyds tsb, egg, northern rock, tesco and capital one. The only one ive missed a payment to so far is capital one and they ring about four times a day, i havent answered to them yet though. Ive just cancelled all my payments to the others so no doubt the phone calls will be increasing. As ive not missed a payment to the others yet should i contact them to let them know situation or should i just let cccs contact them, just worried they may be relectuant to stop interest as they dont know im struggling? What have peoples experiences been of above creditors, i believe Northern Rocks are difficult. ?

Marru SAR is Subject Access Request I think which is what you request when you ask a company to send you details of all the information they hold about you on all your accounts. I asked for this when I reclaimed my bank charges from RBOS.It costs £10 and its illegal for them to refuse. There is a deadline for them to reply but I can't remember how long it is. Think its 42 days.
CCA is when you ask a company for a true signed copy of the agreement you have with them covered by the Consumer Credit Act. This is needed so that you can establish they have a right to pursue you for the debt.If they can't produce it, I believe the debt is invalid.Think its a £1 to get.
Wish I had got round to doing this before starting my DMP as I have read that some creditors are pretty bad about keeping records.0 -
Madrocks Hi!
Egg were OK with us. Tesco just accepted and never even phoned. Capitol one kept phoning and saying no then suddenly accepted. Never here from them at all. Lloyds were nasty then accepted.
After all, they all support CCCS so should agree with their methods.0 -
