I have no idea I did surveys long before this site. I will go through my bookmarked sites and list them for you and PM them if you like.
thats okay - I'll have a dig around :-) do you get loads of email though as a result of filling out surveys? I'm wondering if it is good to set up a hotmail account or something?0 -
I would set a googlemail account up as sometimes hotmail is not the best to access links from.0

I don't get much spam not like I have from competitions entering! But I do get a lot of survey invites - especially Fridays - we call them survey friday in this house.
One thing I can recommend my hubby gets loads of invitations so if you have a partner either convince him they are good or set up two accounts and answer as if you are him!0 -
Hi everyone
I've been struggling for years and years with massive debt, continually shuffling from one card to another until now when there is just no capacity on any of the 10 cards, late payment / overlimit charges are piling up and rent / utility bils all need to be paid. I decided to contact Payplan and I feel as though it is the best thing I've ever done. I have spoken to 3 people in the course of initial contact, giving all my details (about an hour's phone call), and then a follow up call today to confirm I understood the documents they had sent me. All 3 have been lovely and the person I spoke to today will be my case officer. None have been judgemental, they've all been friendly as well as professional and offered me practical advice re new bank accounts etc and what to say to creditors when they call.
2 creditors have called, and when I said I was in touch with Payplan and gave my reference number that was that.
Payplan have advised that the next few weeks/months will be rocky with default notices etc but it is such a relief to be doing something about making sure I can live and yet also repaying my debt - which I am in no way trying to avoid.
Life seems so much more bearable!
Thanks for reading; nobody else knows about this and it is good to share with you guys.

Best of luck Piggybanker.

Hi Piggybanker,
We're with Payplan too, the best thing I ever did was to sort out a DMP.
6 months in and, touch wood, all creditors have accepted and interest has stopped.
We even have a little bit of money in the bank. So different to a year ago when every penny of our wages went on debt and credit cards were used for groceries  .
Good luck with your DMP journey,
Sam,

Rayday2, I need your help
Can you post the link to the standard letter you have used to make offers to your creditors or a copy of the letter? Chelsea have offered us an advance on our mortgage which we can use to make offers to our creditors. We will be able to offer them around 38% of the amount owed to each. I could do with your advice on going about it as I know you have done yours independently. That is what I now plan to do as Payplan believe we will get more acceptances of such an offer than if I go through them when the banks only accept 60% I don't think all will accept but some should. What do you think?
If you would prefer to talk offline you can PM me but let me know here as I am not very computer literate. Happy to discuss over the ph and really need your advice before I commit.
Thanks a lot.

Hi John
1.Use national debt line letters, here is the link http://www.nationaldebtline.co.uk/england_wales/debt_advice.php#6 and add your own information.
2.Also send them a list of all creditors with how much you owe each creditor and how much you are offering each of them.
3.Make sure that they put in writing that this is in full settlement of the debt before you send them any money.
4.Start low - they may accept less and then you can save some money. All my eggs accepted 25%. You can always up your offer a little.
5. Don't be disheartened if they don't all accept- at least you should clear some debt
good luck
P.S make sure they are entitled to collect the debt0 -
Rayday2, I have looked for a comparable letter on this site but can't find one. Am wondering if you made your own one up which I can also do. Payplan have given one or two suggestions and will have more. I appreciate this is taking up your time but I have the opportunity to clear most if not all of the debt at the expense of a larger mortgage. It would also take away my wife's anxiety about losing her job as no one will be threatening court action. We also have been offered an extension on the mortgage which will help too. Look forward to hearing from you.
