Hi CBI
You did make me laugh - although its a really cr'p situation to be in.
I hope someone on here can give you some constructive advice!! Sorry - I'm no use at all
Perhaps we could all write a book of our DMP escapades - get a three book deal - make a small fortune:rotfl:0 -
5th Mar - Car engine cuts out while doing 75 on the motorway
Maybe it was trying to tell you that you're speeding!! :rotfl:
Seriously though I had the same thing recently, my car was cutting out. It turned out to be contaminated fuel from Tesco's!! Hopefully it will be something small for you as well.:j DMP mutual support thread member - 135:j0 -

Same here, car cutting out at random times, it was a valve clogged with c**p. Garage said it was from using "cheap :rotfl: " Tesco's fuel. Apparently they don't use the same amount of cleaning additives as other suppliers. Now use Shell/ Esso and have had no problems, better mileage per tank too.
Repair came in at less than £100, so hopefully bank robbing and living in cardboard boxes won't be necessary. Selling your body should cover it!!!DMP Mutual Support Member 138Proud to have dealt with my debts

Selling your body should cover it!!!
Even medical science wouldn't pay for my body :rotfl:
Thanks for the support. Hope it's something small. Luckily it's at the beginning of the month so still got my food/fuel/hair/dentist/magazines/etc budget for it short term then I'll wrestle ebay for a few weeks to get me through the month.0 -
Amy - Glad to hear you sounding good, even small victories are worth it when they are a victory! I like things to be fair in life - loads of people laugh at me with that outlook in life.
CBI - Eek! Not sure what to say really, but get listing on ebay now really! Damn cars - dawn fuel companies - and damn anyone else remotely connected!0 -
Hi Everyone. I thought things had gone too quiet! I have ten creditors, total debt £76K. One creditor, Nat West has written to me stating their intent to serve me with a 'statutory notice.' They also phoned me talking about bankrupcy proceedings and all things nasty. Does the Stat notice mean that they will 'definitely' go for a CCJ? Or, is it normal practice, like a default notice for example. Should I prepare for this in some way? The other issue is that they stated a settlement figure in January of £16K and thats now risen to £20K. I've asked for a detailed explanation. I'd be grateful for any guidance please. Thanks...0

Hi RayDay
You said recently you do surveys to build up a Christmas fund. I'm all for money making and I know there are a few sites out there but I've never looked into them - so where do I start? Is there a thread or something? :-))0 -

If you sign up for quidco or greasypalm (and I am sure there are others) you get cashback for signing up for survey sites. I only started last week. Others will be able to give more advice on this.

I have no idea I did surveys long before this site. I will go through my bookmarked sites and list them for you and PM them if you like.0
