HI can I join the dmp thread too please, currently on dmp with payplan, but shortly starting a new job and will have to change it all, and I have LLoyds tsb as my main creditor!! thanks tracy:T better late than never, better to laugh than cry:j0

Added you Tracy no 123 I believe!
Lloyds are my main creditor too.
I have managed to include my overdraft into my DMP, I got interest refunded and accepted payments for a year. It did however take a lot of time doing. Several letters in the end I wrote a formal letter of complaint and thats what sorted it all out in the end.
http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/consumer_credit/oft664.pdf Have a look through there and if LLoyds have done anything in there then mention it quoting the OFT.
Also I threw back in there face that they sponsored the National Debt Helpline and I was acting on there advice!0 -
Last night I started reading the DMP support thread right from the beginning. 2 hours later I had reached page 15 and had to go to bed:D
I wish I had found this thread 2 years ago and been able to see how I wasn't the only one feeling as I did. My DH and I felt like ending it all at one point because of the phone calls and letters.
We sold a house we were renting out in Jan last year to free up some money but its not enough to pay everyone off so we plod on and the money earns interest for us.
The worst time we had was 3 days before we were due to complete on the house, the conveyancer phoned to say he was unable to get a Mortgage Redemption Figure from Royal Bank of Scotland as the house was in litigation
I nearly had a heart attack because none of our debts were secured on the house. I posted for help on MSE and was told that they could do it as there is a clause (I don't remember it) that states that RBOS was entitled to take any money they were owed.
I didn't have the heart to fight so said it could go ahead and good riddance to RBOS.
Then, last year when I was recaliming our bank charges, RBOS wouldn't release the money because they said we were overdrawn.
When I pointed out that all accounts were closed, the RBOS woman said that there was a debit balance of £1000+ and accounts were still open
I had hysterics and phoned Shakespeares Solicitors (who had been dealing with the debt for RBOS). Snotty solicitor said the account was showing as cleared on his screen and would get back to me.
When he did phone back, nonchalalantly announced that when the RBOS took over £16000 from our house sale, they had "forgotten" to clear the outstanding debts  No apology at all.
Can you believe the incompetence of these people?
They were the only ones who had not stopped interest when we started our DMP with CCCS. I hadn't actually realised as we never had statements from them.
God, how I hate banks.
Amazing that they never took the money for the 2 RBOS CCs we have.0 -
Hi All
I'm just looking for a bit of advice really..
I was a bit late in making my payment (last month - naughty me!) I have now had two letters demanding a pay back a total of 10.5k in two weeks!
I've let Payplan know but i was wondering if i should write to them myself too?
I don't want to let it get to CCJ stage!
ThanksIn debt no more!0 -
Number 84 reporting in!
Disappointed I could not have had a lower number as I could have used it for my lottery combination
Looked into an IVA but did not fit the criteria! CCCS said they would look into it again in a years time.
The other half was so upset yesterday and in floods of tears about being in debt and saying all sorts of 'off the wall' things. The youngest picked up on it and it was so upsetting. So off I went for a 2 hours walk with the dog and clear my head and give time for the other half to be alone. Got back and she was okay. I don't think watching Repossession, repossesion, reposession the night before helped matters! But hey we live to fight another day! :rotfl:
Seems all quiet on the DMP front although I did get a letter yesterday from AIC Collections saying that I was such a good payer with the DMP that they would knock £2500 off the Lloyds loan amount I owe and I could have it for £8K. Of course I accepted and sent £8K off with a thank you card and some flowers. :cheesy:
Hang in there everyone! You are all an inspiration to me!"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person's determination."Debt free in 4 years  _party_0 -

Can I join this thread please as I have just entered into a DMP with Payplan and my first payment went out last week. Just waiting for the acceptance/refusals. Not sure what happens next? Scared witless.............................0

LoubieLou - to be honest I think it might be good to write to them let them know it was a one off and back on track and thank them for there continued patience - insert irony there like!
Bolton - hope you sent those flowers recorded delivery
ald65- You are brave with your date I have never worked mine out but I think it could be a tad longer - then again earning opportunities go up as children do!
Bigdi - so easy to say but please do not be scared what you have done so far is so much more responsible than ignoring the problem or keep the borrowign cycle up. You may get refusals at first its like a game but you stick to your guns keep saying the same and send them the money (or Payplan will) and eventually you ground them down.
But we have all been there so if you feel worried about anything in particular jump in and ask!0 -

Thanks
I have a similar situation
Due to an Internet Banking security problem last month, my DD to CCCS for my DMP monthly payment never went out. When I found out, it was too late for CCCS to take the money and make payments to my creditors.
I spoke to CCCS and they just said they will take 2 payments this month.
They also said if I heard from any creditors, just to explain what had happened and tell them they would receive 2 payments in February.
Have not heard from any as yet but am wondering if I should write to them

PS...BoltonBWFC...Pompey were very very lucky, not that I am complaining.:beer:0 -
