I don't know anything about a telephone interview with CCCS but I have heard people talking about it. To be honest I'm not sure what I'm waiting for now, we sent the signed agreement back to CCCS 2 days ago, how long does it take for things to start?

Just Me - it does take a little while and I am sure they are getting busier and busier!! Maybe give it until and end of next week and then ring if you haven't heard.

We are now 3 months in with CCCS and just had our telephone review. However, I think it is too early really cos since then, been thinking our petrol allowance isnt realistic - £50 over this month and another week until pay day :(

Really happy with the whole system though and even though sticking to budget is tough (really struggling- anyone else wanna join me?!) it is sooooooo good not spending on any more credit and seeing our final debts come down each month.

    Roll on June 2012!!

I will find it easier to budget than DH. Yesterday he almost bought us a CD each but he knew I would have hit the roof (even though I really really really want the new Def Leppard CD).

I am not doing too bad but find the extra stuff like birthday presents, weddings and CASH is the biggest problem. We are getting there but it is taking a bit of adjustment!

    Hi Timetobefree

Please can you explain what they do after the 3 months as we have a big loan with Halifax, so far they have been ok and just advised they will wait for the letter from CCCS.

    Morning everyone

Just thought I'd update you all a little on my DMP in one go, rather than posting as and when, as it all gets a bit lost and confusing.

Those who have so far accepted and frozen interest are:

    MBNA x 2
    CO-OP
    GE Capital x 2
    IKANO
    GOLDFISH

Of these none have issued defaults.

    We havd received defaults from

    EGG
    HSBC
    NORTHERN ROCK
    RBS

Currently none of these have accepted DMP and NR have issued court papers. However, EGG say they are passing the account now to an "external agency" and I guess they will probably agreed DMP. RBS also told me that they WOULD accept after the default process.

Those who have not accepted but haven't defaulted us either are

LLOYDS TSB (loans, cc and o/d) I called them on Thursday and surprise, surprise they said that they hadn't heard from CCCS, which I know they have as they have rejected the payments! The guy I spoke to didn't try to extract any money from me tho  . Anyway, thanks for your info on the grey letter RAYDAY, - I'm kind of looking forward to getting this now!

Also haven't heard anything from MONUMENT - anyone dealt with them? Quite a small debt of around £2k but so is the HSBC one, the amounts just don't seem to matter in terms of whether they accept or not .

All in all, considering our level of debt (over £100k) we don't seem to be doing too badly. I still think it is highly likely NR will get C/O eventually, but I can live with that.

We only made our fist payment to CCCS on 1 May, so things have moved along quite quickly, which will hopefully reassure any newbies.

Of course, all of this depends on me finding work pronto! Registered with the County Council on Thursday for temping jobs and hopefully they will have something soon with the summer coming up.

Have a great weekend everyone. :D

I think they sponser the Nationald Debtline  And they quite often recommend that people take advice from either CCCS or Payplan and then promptly refuse the offer of payment they suggest! You' re right
