    Hi guys

Wonder if you can give me some advice. I've got approx £12k in a Intelligent Finance Cash ISA and looking to transfer it to a new provider. Haven't used this years allowance either so if someone can recommend a couple of ISA's that accept transfer in's I'd be much grateful

    Thanks

Back in early march I requested to transfer three isas to a Lloyds fixed rate Isa.
    M&S tansferred within the month.
    Abbey took until June
and still waiting for Alliance & Leicester to transfer my money.

A&L are useless and Lloyds dont seem to be much better, not bothering to chase them up.

Any ideas? As I seem to be stuck in the middle, and other than keep phoning not much I can do.

Is there an ombudsman or similar - as I am losing interest.

    many thanks

I seem to recall Martin wanting examples of Isa transfers that have taken forever. Can anyone point me in the right direction.
    Many thanks
  • Can anyone please help me? I'm a bit confused :)

I'm looking to transfer my 2007/08 ING ISA over to Icesave (where my 2008/09 ISA is currently building up) once ING's six month rate runs out.

I've printed the Icesave transfer form out and all is well apart from where it says "amount to transfer"... giving me three options.

Whole balance (including any accrued interest)
    All previous tax year subscriptions
    All current tax year subsciptions

Obviously, it has nothing to do with this tax year so the last option is discounted... so which of the first two options is relevant?

I wish I wasn't so blonde about these matters :D

Yes, you want to transfer the whole balance (incl. interest) to Icesave.

Don't worry about being blonde ... I am sure you have other talents :rotfl:

Cheers for the speedy response :) I didn't want anything to affect this year's ISA which is almost nearly full.

I don't know about that... but my Mum says I'm special. (I'm hoping she means that in a complimentary way!)

Providing you indicate that it is a transfer and not "new" money then it won't affect this year's ISA.

Love your Mum ! She will probably stand by you when you bring home a guy full of piercings all over his face and tattoos down his arms - "lovely, dear" !). ... he isn't your OH already is he?:rotfl:

  • Hi,

I opened a Fixed Rate ISA with Lloyds on 07-Apr-2008 and requested my A&L ISA be transfered, it's now 4 months on and it's still not been transfered.....

    Any one beat that?

Any suggestions as to how to resolve it? I've contact Lloyds many times via email, visits to the branch etc NO ONE WANTS TO OWN/RESOLVE THE PROBLEM!

I've filled out a form for the Financial Ombudsman and sent it off, copied Lloyds too. All I get is glib cliches "Oh we're sorry you're unhappy with the service"

    What a shambles

I presume that is from Lloyds TSB.

See what the Financial Ombudsman has to say.

It was Lloyds TSB that were going to charge an A level student £800 because she went 8p overdrawn !

  • Yes, received a letter from their Customer Service people...

With a promise of a response to my complaint in 20 days. Frankly, why it's taken them 60+ days to NOT transfer the money from A&L I have no idea. I thought in these days of Fractional Reserve Banking that they'd want my money....
