Tesco Cancels Customer's ClubCards and Withhold Vouchers & Points!!!

a friend of mine has 80000 points, all gained through bulk buying talc. Any time an SA or CS asked why they were buying so much, they were told the truth about the points promotion. At no point did they lie to tescos, they have one card and all the talc has been given to various charities.

Does that mean they should lose their points too?

No, purchasing talc with extra points is a legitimate purchase and Tesco would not have a leg to stand on if they took those points from your friend under the circumstances. Well done your friend, I didn't buy more than a few of the J&J talcs and a few of the baby wipes, as we have no space. The few I did buy will get used eventually by my kiddies though.

Not sure what the latest on this is, and PS's points were not wiped just due to him having purchased lots of extra-points products I am sure. Did anyone hear the latest on the radio, they got some 'new info that changed everything' and PS didn't comment any further - matter closed as far as the media is concerned maybe? But closed how I wonder?

I have four clubcard accounts - three of which I did not apply for.
I had a clubcard and apllied over a period of years for Tesco Finance products. Despite filling in my clubcard number on the relevant forms, Tesco ignored that and issued a new account each time.
I like having the four accounts as it means I get more coupons for extra points BUT I didn't ask for them.

In a household of a number of adults it would be quite possible to have four (or more) accounts each if you buy lots of services from Tesco.

Dont suppose you ever use codes posted on here (not sent to you) do you... because if you do you are breaking the T&Cs and run the risk of loosing ALL your points....

Im sure someone, somewhere would give you sympathy...

Ok, they don't agree to him having all these cards etc and the T&C says they can withdraw the card at any time but they
SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKED BACK THE POINTS!!
Completely unfair! Stop him doing it more, but it's hard work doing all these 'DEALS' at Tesco! Yeah, were all making little profits, but it is stressful!

If truth be known the guy deserves everything he gets........

The Tesco Clubcard card and Key Fobs are issued by and remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited which reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a)terminate the scheme; (b)decline to issue Clubcard cards and Key Fobs; and (c)on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Clubcard cards, Key Fobs or points collected, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Tesco Clubcard scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii)any use or attempted use of a Clubcard card, Key Fob or points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii)any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
3. Members may be removed from the scheme at any time at the discretion of Tesco.
5. The Tesco Clubcard scheme is only for personal and consumer use.

Consumers do not then trade said goods at a carboot sale and to use the excuse of such is opening a whole big can of worms. If I buy something from A to sell to B I am a business FULL STOP.
On the other hand if I am selling what I regard as unwanted tat , one mans trash is another mans riches I believe is a difference.
Thankfully the Inland Revenue does not go around car boots taking registrations and claiming payment (or do they?) The high profiling of this could lead to that. Indeed it could also be seen to be a breach of conditions of Income support too if your trading at a car boot.....it could all snowball if e bay was made to disclose names and addresses.

Instead of supporting the guy he should be censored because he has highlighted this issue in a bigger way than he possibly knows for his own selfishness.

Its hard enough being honest in certain areas with a legitimate coupon because of misuse.....laugh as some may..I'm alright Jack mentality is what has ruined this country.
