Tesco Cancels Customer's ClubCards and Withhold Vouchers & Points!!!

I would say this bloke crossed the line. We all like to make and save money, but I feel there are boundaries. This is why tesco make the rule about the clubcard, because they know it will always be open to abuse.
I think most of the time tesco will only act in extreme cases like this even tho many of us probably accrue a lot more points by slightly dodgy ways!
This is my very point about giving in coupons that tesco cannot redeem. They'll take it for a while, then in the end will say, "No more"
This man was likely onto a good thing but became too greedy and spoiled it for himself. Its the same with giving in couponsI can be brown I can be blue I can be violet and sky. I can be hurtful I can be purple I can be anything you like..Gotta be green gotta be mean gotta be everything more...0 -
I know hes a member of PTS ,dont know about here though0

Oh this is worrying...
If you read the small-print for the Tesco Club Card, it states very clearly that the company can withdraw the Club Card from any customer it wishes at any time without having to give any reason. (Source:-http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/beds/bucks/herts/7229246.stm)
I did not know that was stated...
We are saving for our wedding and have £400 ish towards it thanks to Tesco... I would hate to lose it as we only shop there because of the loyalty scheme!!Dream of being mortgage free....

by broadcasting the fact that tesco have these glitches will they now start to really watch things more closely and stop the glitches, has this bloke just ruined it for everyone by being greedy?0

haha fair play to him, it just goes to show, not to let it build too high or you will be scrutinised ..........0

at the moment, the reason I think this is that lately I have been buying up to four packets of wipes for the points plus using a couple of vitamin 50 points making approx 500-600 points a shop; and the points are not being added for several days. Normally they seem to go on overnight, this is true across my three legit clubcards (green, visa, blue) which I spread the spending across. Between the three I have my highest total ever this quarter: due to legitimate points boosting of wipes. I have been saving for a holiday in Florida for 2 years, should get there next quarter and would be devastated if the points were taken away.
They are always slow to go on at quarter end... so wouldnt worry..
however if they did take it to the extreme as the vitamin coupons say one per transaction you should really pay for them individually..:rolleyes:Bit of a Florida Fan :j

This is a bad move though as him taking them to court, is just going to spread bad publicity that a company like Tesco is always trying to avoid. A U-turn at this point would be embarrasing but would save themselves thousands if not millions.
This should get to the national press today or tomorrow.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
call your credit card company, tell them that you want to leave, 99% of the time theyll lower your APR%
Remember when that Bank Manager or Salesperson smiles at you, all he sees is £ notes. Dont forget the motto, "the wider their grin, the more debt your in"0
