makes me laugh...there are some cheeky people out there..:rotfl:just think of qall those points I could have been making......;)
Although he was playing system, they shouldn't have taken his points that he spent money on....consumer rights, i think he should fight it, will be interesting to see what happens, because if he doesn't, Tesco will continue to take people points/cards and who decide how much points/cards is too much!!!! Really they should say when offers are on for bonus points, limited to 3 per customer ect....plus they can afford it....Reclaimed thanks to this site: £2596.71

Hi
I had not heard about this, is the clip on the internet?
I believe in taking advantage of a situation but agree he is taking the p**

he did find a loophole, with a scart lead from£19.99 reduced to 99p with 1,000 points so he bought 23 off them, cant blame him really, .................
Okay, hands up here who would have left them on the shelf? Or taken them to CS and told them they'd made a foolish error?
I, with my modest one card and similarly modest but sound points collection per year (probably about £250 on average) would have grabbed them with both hands and cackled with joy all the way to the car park. Then I'd have got in the car and visited every Tesco within a twenty mile radius looking for more. Because to me, that's legit.
The rest of it though? He's over most folk's line somehow, isn't he?Val.0 -
I don't have a problem with people getting deals.
But the man took it to far by having 14 club cards. Not one or two in different names.
Nectar, boots etc who run such card schemes can do the same if they don't like the look of what you have been doing.
You don't own the card. It is rather like your credit or debit card. Abuse it and they take it away from you.
The only reason he does not like is because he got caught out. If he has made a profit I just hope he kept good records as I me thinks the Tax man is going to be sniffing around some time soon.

Fair do's if he had one or two cards (one in wifes name) , but to have 14 cards takes the mickey.

If you look over on the PTS site there is a threat thats called 'has anyone had all their tesco points taken away' and loads and loads of people came forward and were helping each other resolve their issues with their points being removed.
Some people even won all their points back without having to go to court.
part of me agrees' if you abuse the system then eventually Tesco will say enough is enough. And i think having 14 cards made it a little bit too obvious.
However Tesco do hang the carrot on a lot of items like the talc with 100 points per 2 items or the magnetic photo frames loopholeetc and so many people bulk buy, and get the points awarded and Tesco staff allow this. The tesco gets all snotty because you have too many points!!
The person who everyone is talking about is plainspotter if you want to take a peek and add your comments there.
I must admit i am a bit partial to collecting the clubcard points.exercise that booty!0 -
Can someone pleeeeease tell me what the 'PTS site' is:huh:0

The Tesco Clubcard card and Key Fobs are issued by and remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited which reserves the right, at any time without notice, to: (a)terminate the scheme; (b)decline to issue Clubcard cards and Key Fobs; and (c)on reasonable grounds, withdraw or cancel Clubcard cards, Key Fobs or points collected, or to alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Tesco Clubcard scheme. Reasonable grounds include (i) any abuse or attempted abuse of the scheme, or (ii)any use or attempted use of a Clubcard card, Key Fob or points in a manner which is contrary to these terms and conditions or (iii)any reasonable suspicion of dishonesty on the part of a member in connection with the scheme.
I am a member of PTS too, so I'm all for taking advantage of these bonus points and such - but within reason. I have just the one card. Any more than that and I think you're looking for trouble.niamhypooh wrote: »Can someone pleeeeease tell me what the 'PTS site' is:huh:
It's "Paid To Shop"

This is a bad move though as him taking them to court, is just going to spread bad publicity that a company like Tesco is always trying to avoid. A U-turn at this point would be embarrasing but would save themselves thousands if not millions.
This should get to the national press today or tomorrow.
Seeing as Tescos take £1 for every £8 that is spent on the high street I hardly think the Chairman is going to lose much sleep over it.
Tescos can afford lawyers that charge more than I earn in a week per hour. They would have not removed this blokes cards with out having checked it out first.
I personally don't like they way they treat there suppliers and that they have to much of market share is why I don't shop there any more. And a few club card points is not likely to sway me either.
I have no problem with the loop hole of the scart leads good find and good on him. But having 14 cards is bigand total abuse of a system.
