Can someone please tell me if you can freeze fresh spinach leaves? We had to buy the expensive stuff in Tescos yesterday as they didn't have any of the cheaper stuff and we will have about half a big bag left over. I am getting sick of throwing stuff away - so if I can freeze it this will be great.

I had a lot of spincah from the garden last week. I chopped and steamed it and it freezes well ;)

Corned beef freezes really well. No need to slice unless you want to.

Just picked nine stalks approx one pound in weight. Can I freeze this chopped and left raw to wait for another pound to make jam with? TIA.

    Hi, :)

How well does Olive oil freeze?

I have some chicken thighs that are covered with a meat marinade that contains mainly lemon juice and olive oil, amongst other things and want to freeze it in single portion batches.

I wasn't sure how well the olive oil part would freeze?

Sorry if this has been covered before, but couldn't find anything, TIA.

I see no reason why you can't freeze this marinade mixture as long as you don't keep it in the freezer for so long that it starts frosting up with ice crystals, otherwise the marinade will be have a lot of watery liquid in it when it thaws through. We often keep a large jar of balsamic vinegar dressing in our fridge which contains olive oil. It solidifies and goes very "gungy" but when whizzed up with a fork and warmed through, it's absolutely fine.

    Hi,
Sometimes I save the potato peelings to cook in the deep fat fryer, They come out kinda like crisps.
Does anyone know if I could freeze them either raw or cooked?

I've just taken 3 pieces of white fish out of the freezer (I only wanted one, but they're completely stuck together). If I cook them (haven't decided how yet) can they be frozen again? I'm not sure I fancy fish 3 days in a row!
