Can't see why not. I would freeze in ice cube trays and when frozen pop them into a bag so that you can defrost a small amount at a time.0
-
I've done this before. Just use another container.0

This will work fine, I've frozen jarred pizza sauce, pasta sauce, curry sauce (back in the day when there was only 2 of us, doesn't happen now there are 5 of us!!!)
The ice cube tray idea is a good one, as you only need a small amount of sauce on your pizza, and it defrosts in no time (put the 'ice cubes' in a sealed bag in a bowl of warm water and it will defrost in 10-15 mins)

Hi everyone!
I have read on the OS boards that you can cook dried beans, then freeze them ready to use in a curry/sauce or something, as an alternative to using canned. Would I be able to defrost them and use them without reheating, in a packed lunch or houmous?
Thanks! :beer:0 -
I have a large piece of Chorizo knocking about the fridge, and I'm never going to be able to eat all of it in the next few days!
Can I put it in the freezer, or would that ruin it?
Thanks0 -
I think it keeps for a long time in the fridge anyway.0

Keeps for ages and ages - and even if you see some sort of light mould, it can be washed and dried clean and is fine. The meat has been dried and cured with lots of spices. Alternatively, you could gently fry, then add to some tinned tomato and freeze. Can then be used as a base for loads of sauces...MFW #185

hi
I've frozen chorizo before - either slice it before freezing, so you only take out what you need or whole. never had any problems when defrosting and cooking - use it in pasta dishes with chopped bacon. - YumMortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
