We freeze ours as well if we don't eat it for lunch the next day. I don't have a microwave so I heat the main dishes in a pan till boiling hot and reheat the rice in a covered casserole dish in the oven till it's really hot.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi
Can you tell me if I can freeze black forest ham so I can use it at a later date? I use it instead of parma ham wrapped around salmon/chicken.
Thanks..0 -
Hi Nicola,
Provided it hasn't been frozen previously it should be fine to freeze. I freeze ham all the time with no problems, just let it defrost slowly in the fridge.

for the herbs you can also make a herb butter , just mix with butter, wrap into a sausage in cling film and freeze, you can slice off individual portions, great for mash, veg pasta etc;-)£17,000 credit card debt  balances transferred to 0% and ready to start paying them off like mad

Hi I know one of you great old stylers will know the answer.
I'm in the middle of making some blackberry and apple pies. I want to freeze some of them, do I freeze them cooked or uncooked?
Thank you in advance.Jue0 -

Not tried it with pies, but blackberry and apple crumbles freezes fine uncooked. When I make crumbles I 'batch make' .. .one for the oven and some for the freezer, because I tend to make too much crumble mix. This is because I tend not to weigh things out, I just throw flour and olive spread in a bowl, rub in the crumbs and then stir in oats and sugar to the right consistency  Fortunately OH loves crumblesEnjoying an MSE OS life0
