Do you need to blanch corn on the cobs before freezing please?
It is advisable to blanche most veg before freezing, but I've never done it with corn on the cobs :)

    Hi,
Went for lunch with a friend today, we both had a main and ordered a side of chinese spicy spare ribs (these are deep fried in salt and chilli batter very very very bad for you but very very very tasty :D)
However, these only arrived once we had both almost finished our main dishes of noodles, so we didn't eat them and I asked for a doggy bag. Am still pretty stuffed from lunch so thinking may just have a corn-on-the-cob for dinner, do you reckon they could be frozen and reheated at a later date? I presume they are cooked from fresh at the restaurant. can always eat tomorrow I suppose but am TRYING to eat a little healthily, so thinking could save them for a day when OH about and I make a chinese meal-instant side dish :j

is it possible to freeze leftover takeaway chinese egg fried rice? I've also got 2 tubs of sweet and sour sauce.

I'm always a bit funny about freezing anything from a takeaway. :o
