I bought 2 tubs of whipping cream on a whoopsie and whipped it to freeze it. I have always been hoking around in the cupboards looking for wee containers to freeze portions in. Last night, I used my silicone muffin tray to freeze cup-sized portions. Then just popped them out into a bag!
This reminds me of bags of 'pellets' of frozen cream that could be bought some years ago. I thought that it was a good idea at the time. When did they disappear?0 -
Hi,
Just a quickie -
Could you tell me if I can freeze scrambled eggs? I want to make some homemade `sausage and egg McMuffins` and freeze them for the week.
Thanks in advance,

Yes I've done this with homemade bacon and egg mcmuffins and they have been very nice. Not sure whether you could do it with a large portion though!0 -
Thanks Nicki,
I think muffins come in packs of 6 so guess that`s the amount I`m going to try!

Hello all,
This afternoon I have made some frangipani cakes. I have both pastry and frangipani mix left over.
I know that you can freeze pastry which I have done but will the mix be okay?
Ingredients in the mix are butter, sugar, almond essence, eggs, ground almonds and flour.
I suspect the mix will be fine to make further cakes with but wanted to check.
*waves* does anyone know please? I popped the question in this thread and now its been missed :-(0 -
