I agree, I freeze ours all the time. Just keep them in an airtight bag as they get freezer burn really quickly"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510

The old 2010 maggie would have left them in the cupboard to the went blue and then thrown them out!!
But tonight they will be going in the freezer.0 -
just be careful with them in the freezer as they break easily when frozen - I ended up with a bag of tortilla chips by accident!0

no worries, glad we could help.
btw, I vaguely remember Nigella making a mexican "lasagna" with these - looked quite interesting. Recipe here. Serves 8, but I bet you could cut down the quantities to make an individual dish for yourself."Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -

Can I freeze cottage cheese?
My local Co0p had a load of whoosied CT so I bought it at 15p per tub but only got 2 tubs as I am not sure if it freezes.
Says use by today but will take that with a wee pinch of salt0 -
Freezing changes its texture and makes it bitty and dry 'cos of the moisture loss. It freezes better if you whizz it so it has a consistency like ricotta, but I would still use it fairly quickly. I prefer to cook it in something - cheescake, quiche, sauces etc, then freeze. If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0
