I have just logged into my account, and the amount that was sent from Northern Rock on the 1st May has now been credited today 17th May.
I have just spoken to the ISA centre and they confirm that interest from the 2nd May to the 16th May,(£95.42p in this case), will be added at the end of the term,(at the moment it is sitting in the background?),
I still await confirmation in writing from Jane Fowler at Customer Service Recovery Centre, who I spoke to on 2 occasions , that they are adjusting the difference between "opening" acc on 11th April until 1st May of the old ISA to the new ISA, in this case old ISA was 5.1%, Lloyds is 6.5%, therefore the adjustment should be 1.4% for those days.
My transfer from NS&I was sent 14th May and as of today Lloyds have no record, probably stuck in their backlog.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

so you wont earn any interest onm that adjustment then?I still await confirmation in writing from Jane Fowler at Customer Service Recovery Centre, who I spoke to on 2 occasions , that they are adjusting the difference between "opening" acc on 11th April until 1st May of the old ISA to the new ISA, in this case old ISA was 5.1%, Lloyds is 6.5%, therefore the adjustment should be 1.4% for those days
why are they doing this?0 -

It will put me in the position as if the money had been credited on the 1st May, they cannot add it to the balance as that would infringe HMRC rules, as I would be getting interest on top of interest! Don't forget this is a fixed rate/term ISA, interest will only be added at the end of the term.
why are they doing this?
"Goodwill gesture" !? so that I don't lose out on the 12 month term, i.e. I will receive 6.5% on the whole of the investment for a full 12 months.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

so the 12 months starts from application and not when the account is credited?
in that case everyone should get that 'goodwill gesture':T0 -

That is my understanding.
Everyone might have to "apply" for the goodwill gesture, it has been mentioned before on this thread, but I don't think it will be done as a matter of course.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -

This thread- or rather LTSB- is getting more ridiculous by the minute.
So now we are getting different interpretations on how they are going to keep their angry customers sweet.
Some of us ( whu and me) get confirmation in writing that 12 months starts from the date of cheque and now some ( you) get told that they will do some complicated adjustement to make the 12 months start from application date.
Give me strength!0 -

I am awaiting confirmation in writing,(been told within 2 weeks, and that was on the 12th May), and will post what I receive, when/if I receive it.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
