14th May: Logged on to Egg just now out of curiosity - the ISA has disappeared off my accounts list and there was a message waiting (from yesterday) saying the funds plus interest have been sent to my new ISA manager and that a closing statement is in the post.
So, all my ISA cheques should be with Lloyds now and Egg took almost a whole month, but at least their own rate was still half-decent!
I can't log into Lloyds at the mo as I don't have my username with me, but will check tonight and let you know if my YBS or NS&I money has been credited. When I checked on Monday night, it hadn't been.
I must contact Lloyds too and see what answer I get re when my 12 months is up etc etc.

9th May: Came home to find a closing statement from NS&I (as per my findings on the 2nd).
10th May: Received a cr-ppy letter from YBS simply saying my transfer has been completed - no closing statement or even balance. Anyone else transferred from them and, if so, did you actually receive anything useful?
Checked Lloyds and nothing at all has gone in yet so will have to wait... Also checked Egg and the balance there hasn't changed. Might ring them later and see if anything's been added to the account notes.

I've made a formal written complaint under their complaints procedure which is currently being investigated by their 'Customer Service Recovery' department.0 -

The money is sent by cheque so you should be able to contact your previous provider to see if it has been cleared.
If not!! cancell the original cheque and have a new one dated the same as the original cheque. Lloyds will backdate the 6.5% interest to the date on the cheque. I do realise the original provider may not agree to back date the new cheque!0 -

Hi,
My old ISA was transferred on the 3rd April, and the money has only just been credited to my LLoyds Account today! That is 41days after the date on the cheque. I actually opened the account 59days ago. So much for the 30 day transfer rule.0 -

I am sure it says somewhere in this thread that they are allowed 60 days in total (30 days for the old provider and 30 days for the new provider).
Lloyds should backdate the interest to the date of the cheque. I see they are showing my first transfer two weeks later than the date of cheque (assuming the cheque date is the same as the date of the letter that my old provider sent to me advising the closing the account).
I am waiting for the second transfer to clear before ringing them up.0 -
As posted many times, 30 days is only the time that you existing provider has to reply to you new provider, then you old provider will inevetly say (mine did) "We didnt get notification till xxxx, so weve not had a month, and you new provider will say "we sent notification on xxxx" so they just keep blaming one another-so 30 days is in reality, meaningless.0

Just thought i'd share my experience.
Went to open my account on 10th April just before the deadline. Just had a letter on the 12th of May from my old ISA provider YBS saying that all the money has been transferred over to my Llyods 6.5% FRISA.
Im happy!Don't pay off your student loan quicker than you have to.0 -
