Does someone have a ballpark figure of the cost of each unit used. metric meter gas.
Also where can I convert units to Kwh.0 -
Gas KWh = Units used x 39.4 x 1.02264 / 3.6
To get the cost per KWh you will have to refer to your bill. It will tell you on there somewhere.0 -

Thank you for reply.
However it is not the cost per KWh I want, it is a rough idea of the cost per gas unit.0 -
You don't pay for gas in gas units. You used to pay per Therm years ago but now you pay per KWh the same as electricity.
You take the readings, then x 39.4 x 1.02264 / 3.6 then multiply by the cost per KWh which in my case is 7.275p/KWh.
It will be on the back of your bill. The calculation I gave you above will also be on there somewhere.0 -
Have only just found out that we are regarded as High Gas Users (having been told a few months ago that we weren't high users.) Has anyone out there actually managed to change band and bring the cost down again or is it impossible/0

Last year a friend of ours became very annoyed when she received her annual letter from StayWarm with a big increase in charges. She wrote them a letter complaining about this and they replied and reduced their charges. I do not know however if she had been categorised as a 'high user'.

I If your gas meter is a metric one and you use 'one' unit multiply by eleven and if the cost is 2 pence a kilowatt cost is 2x11=22 pence per unit
If it is a foot cube meter one unit used at 2 pence per kilowatt is
is 2 times 31 =62 pence per unit0 -

metric cube gas units times gas cost 2 or 3 pence etc times 11=total cost£'s
